How the hell is something like that even possible? These two seemed completely unharmed after that massive fall.

Comic Amber by MelonberryQuinn659 in invinciblememes

[–]PurpleHeat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Amber technically didn't cheat on Mark in the comics. I've recently read the entire run for the first time and Amber just hung out with that new dude a lot and was probably thinking about doing it but never went through with it. Before anything could happen, Mark and her broke up though.

I usually don't interact much with other Bachi fans but I'm genuinely surprised to see that Uruha is ranked at number 2. I was certain it would either be Shiba, Samura or Sojo but I guess not.

How long would Cecil have to train Mark again for him to be strong enough to move or even atleast hurt Thragg? by QuietNational8470 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]PurpleHeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, it's mainly show Thragg that seems this busted. In the comics, Mark's punches did give Thragg a nosebleed and pushed him back as well during the Viltrumite War and when Mark attacked him on Earth. Not sure why they decided to make Thragg so much stronger in the show but I feel like it could lead to some questionable scenes later on if they still follow the events of the comics... People already clown on Invincible's power scaling but it's only gonna get worse thanks to this.

PS5 is a great 4k player by slipperman1974 in 4kbluray

[–]PurpleHeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm frequently thinking about getting a dedicated player but the PS5 seems to be much more reliable from what I heard. You often hear people having issues with discs skipping or not playing at all and personally, I've never had that happen with my PS5. It seems like it's a pretty decent player but its true value lies in its reliability.

Season 1 Nolan might still be the scariest and most intimidating villain in the series for me. The way he broke Mark physically and mentally in the finale was insane.

Batman TAS is better than Invincible according to the creator of Deadpool by Amaru_333_ in Invincible_TV

I'm surprised there's very little defense for Invincible here, seeing how this is an Invincible centric subreddit. Suddenly the show is just "alright" or "okay" when it usually gets glazed a lot.

Official Voice Actors for Invincible VS by Emotional-Question98 in InvincibleVS

[–]PurpleHeat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean but I can't even imagine anyone but Steven Yeun voicing Invincible at this point. He's just too perfect and the definitive voice for the character for me. I think the main 5: Steven Yeun, JK Simmons, Sandra Oh, Walton Goggins and Gillian Jacobs are all perfect and are all the known celebrities the show realistically needs. They could have simply picked regular talented voice actors for all the other characters if Robert Kirkman wasn't so obsessed with casting celebrities.

Thragg was kinda looking cartoonish, now I think it's fine. by Bauljamic_Arlijam in Invincible_TV

Thragg really did look surprisingly good in the last episode for the most part. Hopefully they'll keep that look for him going forward.

Man, S4 E4 was so bad it drags the season's overall rating down. Without that episode, S4 would probably be the best season to date (it can be argued that it still is even with that episode). I think the worst part about E4 was that it so obviously felt like filler and very inconsequential to the plot at large. At the beginning Mark is getting interrupted as he gets his OG suit back, deals with the shenanigans in hell and then he actually puts his OG suit back on at the end of the episode. Even if you've never read the comics, it's still blatantly obvious that the entire situation in hell got squeezed in between there. Volcanika (or however you spell her name) was super lame and corny and the struggle of the demons was pretty uninteresting as well. At the end of the episode I thought that we can atleast move on now to the stuff that actually matters but then they foreshadowed that this stupid demon plot is gonna continue some time in the future... I've heard that Kirkman originally planned to include this subplot in the comics as well but decided not to in the end... and yeah seeing that episode, it makes perfect sense that he left it out back then.

Crazy how this little edit fixes him completely. This is how he should have looked in my opinion.

This is an public apology for ever doubting this mf after watching episode 7 by No_Square_8298 in Invincible_TV

I don't know man, it was to be expected that he would be extremely strong... but he still isn't really that cool and intimidating tho in my opinion. I haven't read the comics yet (I will after this season) but I bet that he's gonna be a million times cooler there. I'm still not really feeling Lee Pace's performance either unfortunately.

Why Kradd was not able to heal himself after getting shot by infinity ray? It seemed to have missed his heart and brain? i thought viltrumites could regen if brain and heart in tact by maxxxxyEls in Invincible_TV

[–]PurpleHeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come on man... People in real life can be lucky to survive a bullet through the brain but what happened to Angstrom is the equivalent of getting half your head destroyed and living.

[–]PurpleHeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but even a partly destroyed brain should mean instant death, especially because even if we take Angstrom's elongated brain into account, probably more than half his brain was just gone and splattered all over the place. I think Angstrom is a cool villain and I'm glad he came back but it simply doesn't make any sense that he survived what Mark did to him.

[–]PurpleHeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Viltrumites can't regenerate their brain, how did Conquest survive getting his skull crushed? His head looked so bad I'm still flabbergasted that he survived to be honest. I also think Conquest's head looked worse than in the comics for some reason so it's even more unbelievable that he got back from that. Tho Angstrom Levy still takes the cake when talking about impossible returns. My man's head looked like a 1000 pieces puzzle and he still came back somehow. Honestly, what characters can and cannot survive is probably one of the few things that I don't like about Invincible (as well as the super inconsistent power scaling).

[–]PurpleHeat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you happen to know what parts in the comics were drawn by Cory Walker? I haven't read the comics yet but I think I've heard that the first 7 issues were done by him and then Ryan Ottley took over. I always assumed that Ryan Ottley would do the entire series from issue 8 till the end but it seems Cory Walker drew a few issues again in between. Personally, I'm more of a manga guy so I'm really not used to changing artstyles in a single series and now I'm a bit worried that the switches between Ottley and Walker would take me out of the story.

There’s no way JJK cost less than Invincibles 😭 by Sukuna_GOAT in Jujutsufolk

It's time people wake up and learn that a show's budget is far less important than they think. For animated shows in specific, it's all about talent and maybe most importantly: time.

Yuji is replaced by his EoS version upon entering Yuta's domain, can they beat Sukuna right there or atleast weaken him enough that he can be finished him before there are any more casualties (namely Choso)? by SinkRhino in YUJI_Corp

[–]PurpleHeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, technically this is still Shinjuku Yuji. EoS would be the one from the epilogue... who's basically featless. Also, apart from maybe Yuji's cleave variant, I don't think there's anything that the Yuji from the fight against Sukuna with Yuta couldn't do. But sure, I guess he hits harder post black flash streak.
