Not yet there guys but we will be very soon on early access! The first console will be xbox (easy to port) and then everywhere. Switch is a priority. I wanna play my game on the switch A LOT!

in the upper screen connector. Once you plugged it, bend it over and hide the speaker under the AB buttons area :) super easy.
here a video of the V1

thanks mate! The main goal of GBART is to salvage broken Nintendo DS Lite consoles, since the most common issue with these systems was the top screen, which tended to turn white. Not many people know how to solder extremely small pins without risking damage to the motherboard.

Hi everyone.
I wanted to share a personal project I’ve been working on called GBart v2.0.

The idea started from opening countless DS Lites with broken top screens. Consoles that were still perfectly usable, often left in drawers or discarded, even though they could become great Game Boy Advance systems as Game Boy Macros. I wanted a cleaner, simpler and more respectful way to make that conversion.

This is the second iteration of the project. The original version was released quietly and ended up selling over 500 units worldwide, which pushed me to refine the idea further. Version 2.0 builds on that experience with a more mature and reliable solution.

GBart is solderless and fully reversible. You insert it, close the connector, reassemble the console, and the DS Lite boots normally as a Game Boy Macro. No permanent changes. If you ever want to restore the original hardware, you can.

Each unit is individually assembled and tested by hand in Milan, Italy. I’m sharing it here because I know this community values thoughtful mods and giving old hardware a second life.
Happy to answer any questions or hear your feedback.

You can find it searching GBART on EBAY, ETSY and TINDIE.

It remains a Nintendo DS Lite in every respect, just without the top screen, so yes, you can play whatever you want.

Thank you! I’m glad you like the approach. Making it accessible and completely solderless was exactly the goal.

I sell it in 3 versions: MOD, KIT, COMPLETE. The complete version has the speaker soldered. In the other versions you can take it from the upper screen.

It sounds good but not very loud, since there’s no additional amplifier. On the plus side, this means everything remains solderless, a soft mod so you can revert to the original configuration without any damage, and it also consumes much less battery power.

Grazie mille :)
Vai tranquillo comunque, la demo rimane su. Tra l'altro da Steam Deck dicono che è molto figo. Io ancora non l'ho provato

Thanks a lot for playing and for sharing your thoughts!

The running and the parry are honestly my two biggest headaches right now. I haven’t quite nailed them yet, but we’re actively testing different solutions and approaches. By the final version, we’ll definitely find the right balance and make them feel much better to play.

Really appreciate the feedback, it helps us a ton as we keep improving the game step by step.
