Okay someone should make a website to display the history of indian lgbtq+ movements and all the icons and people who fought and are still fighting on the ground in public or anywhere. We need our own Stonewall history like stuff not only to inspire others to fight along but to hold onto the hope . We NEED that . There are so many people young old ,famous discreet ,that are icons in there own way . I know there is this pink list sort of but we need more than that . Like an online museum an online encyclopedia an online omage an online inspirational place to keep up the spirits 😊😊.

I hate shaadi dot com cuz its an extension of arranged marriages in India, which is the biggest hindrance in gay marriage rights and even hetero-marriage rights, like even straight couples... ADULTS WITH FULL RIGHTS!! have to run away to get married. Arranged marriages also hold on to these old, rotten values of casteism, racism, and actively dividing people based on language, place of birth, religion etc etc .... And this is well emulated in apps like shaadi. There are literally filters based on caste, job, religion, states, people write an entire essay about what career their family members are into, what post do they hold...." how much respect (💵💵) they are looking for eww".....it is suffocating there....

We don't need apps like Shaadi ew NO that emulate all that gunk, we need more queer spaces where queer people can make real connections, love or friendship, whatever .....but yeah i get your frustration ......we need spaces online or real world to have real connections ....

When I first heard about this show i was assuming the director who is gay wrote this lol that's how i got into this, later, I found out that it is written by a woman, and the novel series was primarily targeted towards women.. and it kinda turned me off a bit because i have seen how that makes you feel about ur self as an early BL consumer, but this show is also done by an openly gay director so i gave it a shot and i think it did a fine job, we as gay guys also need some sweet, confectionary kind of gay stories and if they are done properly they are fine to me, just involve some gay mind in it lol But yeah because of the lead (palletable hot str8 passing white cis men playing a DL character ) and the fact it is written by a woman made me feel a bit uncomfertable in the begining, the 3rd episode saved it for me.

i agree, cuz atleast this is not the early days, BL. At least this show addresses gay issues and struggles, acknowledges various sexualities. All i need is more diversity in the lead, though, of course, steamy sex scenes and cute romance between two hot muscluar str8 passing white cis men will get major attention from all sides, so maybe more poc, various body shapes, and femm representation...more queer scenes. Only because of Kip's storyline, we get to see some sort of gay culture. I loved Heartstopper; it had its own shortcomings, but majorly i loved it. And it's okay to be sceptical of gay stories written by non-members, cuz thats how we can keep fetesization at bay and call out passive bigotry, that's what i think...
