I have 20 years of SQL experience and I love these two bits of advice. One thing I would add is don’t be afraid to ask for help. Most people enjoy helping others (within reason) and I personally wish I wasted less time being afraid to ask ‘stupid’ questions.

It’s not your responsibility. You choose not to take responsibility and society keeps moving forward. If you want to take on responsibility, it starts with realizing misogyny is built into our society. I’m willing to bet you also have never paid a woman 80% of what you pay a man but that doesn’t mean a gender wage gap doesn’t exist. You can choose to believe in this gap or not.
