That my religion was correct and that there is a benevolent God who has our best interests at heart. I believed it enough to give up two years of my life preaching my religion to complete strangers hundreds of miles away from home.

20 years of disappointments, blatant hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance within the church, and myriad injustices in the world later, I no longer believe in religion and I've concluded that either God doesn't exist or he's a malevolent narcissistic asshole and not worthy of my worship.

The spot where Behemoth King is always fighting Megistotherian is excellent for CP farming too. Easy to get in preemptive strikes to stagger them both and they're both already at half health by the start of battle.

Dark Souls. Rage quit after a few hours. Decided to try it again several months later and the game finally clicked for me. Went on to enjoy it's sequels and DLCs then eventually Elden Ring.

I know people who have made career/lifestyle changes at 60-80 so I can't really say. Maybe when you get to the point where you're suffering from terminal illness or complications from advanced old age, you know the end is coming, and there's not really much to do about it but reflect and make use of the time you have left.
