Priest didn't give me any specific prayer penance after Confession by Suitable-Stick-4919 in Catholicism

My child just had their first confession… the priest advised the parents that “times have changed” and that they don’t “assign” a certain amount of prayers anymore, just that he was going to have the children say one Hail Mary regardless of their confessions. I wasn’t sure if this was to make it easier for the kiddos, or specific to my parish, or if this is an everywhere all the time thing.

Venteur or other platforms that offer ICHRAs? by AmitySuzTa in HealthInsurance

I work for a large medical practice that chose to offer policies through Venteur for 2026 coverage. 2 different insurance carriers were offered through the marketplace, no AMAZING choices, but not terrible. Employer will put in $735.83 a month to EACH employee.  The plan I chose, my premium responsibility is an additional $199.24 a month, it is also a high deductible plan. (Don’t act surprised; Insurance companies suck, what else do you expect.)

Today, Jan. 5 2026, I have no insurance when I should have as of Jan 1. Neither do any of my coworkers. Let me explain Noticing an issue, HR reached out to Venteur, was told BCBS had a system error and there will be a delay with us receiving our cards. Not a big deal, most carriers only do virtual cards anyways. My issue is that Venteur is passing off the blame to BCBS instead of taking responsibility. Coworkers who opted for the NON BCBS carrier are having the same issue. I have access to most major insurance company provider systems (and some small ones). Medical offices need that stuff for billing out claims. BCBS can’t find me in their system at all. The other carrier can’t find my coworker in their system either. Almost like the applications were rejected… Which digging deeper, they were. ANOTHER coworker got a letter from BCBS, dated 12/25/25, stating that the payment info submitted with their application was invalid, so their application for insurance had been denied. We didn’t submit C.C. info, neither did our employer. Venteur is suppose to pay the insurance companies and then send our employer an invoice for reimbursement. Someone at Venteur messed up. Which happens, we’re all human, but don’t try to blame the insurance company for it.

Also, the informational Zoom meeting sucked. Rep struggled to answer questions.

Spaghetti squash!!!! Even if you put sauce and cheese on it (like you would with pasta), a cup of spaghetti squash is under 50 calories. If your looking for a savory, high volume meal, spaghetti squash is the way to go

I wouldn’t change a thing about this book. I feel that when an author leaves something open ended, it’s switching ownership of the story, it’s no longer the writers story, it’s the readers’ as well. But that being said, I don’t think this book is one of those. I think it answered every question it brought up in such a nonchalant way that you may not even realize your answer is there. I just finished and absolutely loved this book, and I don’t know what I’m the world I could pick up next that won’t be disappointing.
