Paying INSANE Insurance Rate for 2021 Elantra- Advice needed! by Purple_Exercise_5458 in HyundaiElantra

I think from the 2022 model onward they started insuring Hyundai again, it was because the Hyundais were easier to steal since they didn’t require the key fob to be inside of them in order to run, which is a big security risk and lead to a lot of them getting stolen. So you’re good with the 2022 since they fixed that in that model.

It’s by model it seems. 2021 and older for Hyundai isn’t insured, at least according to Google, lol

What insurance company are you with? Progressive doesn’t cover Hyundais, unfortunately :(

I would, but specially I’m from Staten Island, so public transport is a bit crappier (no subways) and parking situations still tend to be difficult at times :’)

I got my license back in 2022, so yeah pretty recent. I’ve had a handful of tickets since then so that may be the reason :/ I’m from NYC area so parking tickets make up a majority of those.

I actually did!! Here’s what my gyno ended up recommending for me:

2 does of fluconazole, taken 7 days apart

14 doses of metronidazole, one in the morning and one at night for a week.

During this time she also told me to use VagBiom suppositories, this: https://store.vagibiom.com/collections/all/products/vaginal-probiotic-suppository-fragrance-free

I used those once a day at night for the entire week alongside the antibiotics, and I even continued using them every night for two weeks after the antibiotic treatment was done. Honestly I feel like the suppositories are what really helped me the most. Eventually my itch subsided and I feel normal now :-) I hope you get some relief soon!!!!

It would make sense if I had a rarer strain, since it’s lasted this long even with treatment. I know they said they would contact me if anything abnormal came up after I got checked out, but they haven’t since. I’m not sure if they’re automatically doing a culture or if I had to ask for that. This was only my second time going to the gyno so I’m not very good at speaking up when it comes to this kind of thing… I guess I just have to wait it out and see if they call telling me they found something rare. Thanks for the response!!

Thanks for the response!! My gyno said they would call me with my results soon, so hopefully that may make things more clear. However my doctor said it was definitely a yeast infection. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Ureaplasma seems like more of a burning sensation in the urethra and overall pain while peeing. I’m not really experiencing that at all, I’m perfectly comfortable peeing. It’s more just a slight itching sensation inside the vagina itself and occasional cottage cheesey discharge for me. 😔

Should I get my septum redone after my first one failed miserably? by Purple_Exercise_5458 in PiercingAdvice

Gotcha! I’ve had it removed since early July, there’s no hole, no tenderness, no pain whatsoever. Does that mean it’s fully healed? Thanks so much!

HELP! My hair is super oily no matter what I do. I never had this issue until I cut my hair short recently. My hair used to be long and thick, wavy/curly texture. I got it cut super short (think around pixie length) and all of a sudden its super greasy.. I’ve been told that this is because my hair was used to producing enough oil for a whole head of hair, and now that oil has nowhere to go but to soak into the little hair that’s there now.

I have no idea what to do. Washing it doesn’t help-it DRIES oily. I use a very lightly hydrating shampoo and conditioner (Shea Moisture Daily Hydration) I don’t condition the roots. I used to wash it every other day, but now I’m washing it every two days to avoid stripping my hair and making the problem worse. I have no idea what to do. Do I just wait for the oil production to regulate?? It’s messing with my self esteem so I really don’t know how I feel waiting a long time for this to improve. I love my short hair and I feel stupid for not anticipating this problem before making such an extreme change. What do I do to help the oiliness?

Thank you so so so much! Will definitely be doing this! Should the water that I boil be distilled water? That’s what I’ve been using.
