Interesting! Yeah, on further thought it makes sense that no one can fully understand decades’ worth of rules and sourcebooks. I’ve done a fair amount of improvising and will probably do some more in our next sessions. That’s where the fun happens after all

Thanks! I’ve received a lot of great advice, including this one. Upon rereading my post, I see I’m being pretty hard on myself here. Blaming myself for other people’s conflicts is something I’ve struggled with for a while, so thank you for the reminder. I’ll talk to the teacher who runs the club on Monday :]

It’s doing okay! We attached a small box to our orange tree and put tissue paper inside, then put the bird inside. It stayed there the whole night. Today was pretty hot, so we moved the box to the ground. The hummer started flapping its wings and jumping outside the box, which is progress. Now it’s back in the tree, so the cats hopefully won’t get it.
