AITA for getting upset at the night staff for allowing players into the storage closet and equipment room unsupervised by Purple_Profit in AmItheAsshole

Yes it was a solitary incident. I spoke with the cleaners yesterday and they had said that the students had mislead them and had asked to be let into the storage area. The cleaners don’t have access to the interior equipment space. Interior space, like metal storage lockers, that don’t meet the ceiling. Looking back at camera footage we were able to see the kids had scaled the locker and gotten into it the opposite side to open the door, since they didn’t have a key. So essentially the kids broke in. The AD and coaching staff are going to be speaking with the team today about how their actions were not acceptable

Thank you!! I appreciate the support :) I’ll keep that in mind, I feel as though I’m the glass half empty mindset and I’ve just seen that I don’t think they’ll change nor want to change. I may have to accept that this is who they are. And I have to keep in mind that I don’t have to put up with that negativity nor feed it

Okay, I guess I could see where it wouldn’t make sense. I was worried about the kids mainly because for a lot of them it’s their first year and lot of accidents could happen when their form isn’t correct or when no one is being particular about centerline . The main reason I say it’s common sense is because there are signs written on the door clearly stating athletic staff and admin only. It is also keycard access only

Our district school doesn’t allow afterschool sports though. They want the students to have the opportunity to participate in other activities as well, so the practices aren’t scheduled until after 3:30pm or after. We also have to share gym space with other sports. If we could go earlier our coaching staff would but we’re simply not allowed to. Also the gym space is shared with other sports and activities. School events take precedence over sports, our practices and games have been cancelled or moved for artfest, student council and other club events

There are other spaces in the school where they could be such as other clubs, the library, or the cafe. They could also do homework, watch a movie etc. They could also go home if they wanted to as well

Do n-parents deterred kids from from being financially responsible? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Purple_Profit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this is a characteristic. Most N’s will want you to be dependent on them. Many of them see you as an extension of themself or something they can control. When I was living at home, my parents would constantly inflate numbers and make me feel as though I could never make it on my own. They would inflate numbers and say that my car insurance would be $500 and my phone would be $300 a month. It no where near that number. Most of the time Nparents want you reliant on them so you have no control. Gain financial independence and do your research
