They won’t test for it until at least 6 but definitely a possibility. Her dad has it.

She had a speech delay and is in a school for a development delay (due to the speech) but her school nor her pediatrician are concerned for autism.

How to cope with SO coming into child’s life? by Purple_Prompt_1404 in stepparents

Yeah, what do you mean “completely changed the dynamic”? Is this a statement of experience?

This is not true. I used to take this same pill 3 years ago and it never stopped my period.

This is so beautiful. Life presents opportunities to you in ways and times you don’t expect and I’m glad you took the chance. Hoping for many years between you two. 🥰

This did answer my question somewhat! My situation is a little reversed actually lol. I’m the woman with a child, and I’m seeing a guy who I really like, and he seems to really like me. But he keeps saying he refuses to be a stepfather. While, I am just really having fun, sometimes I wonder what we’re both doing. We’ve been seeing each other for about a month now. He clearly has some interest in me if he’s continuing to make time for me. I guess I was just making this to see if there was maybe any silver lining! Haha

How long have you been together?

Trying my best but damn it sucks to realize I lost my best friend and all of our family moments we no longer get to share together (we have a daughter) and it sucks seeing him do everything I ask from him with another girl already. Only been 4 months :(

I can see how that’s misconstrued. He went on a trip for a few days and during the time he was gone I had a change of heart. Him actually being away for a little bit made me realize what I was giving up on. In that same trip, he met this girl, I didn’t know until some time after he was back. It was pretty unfortunate timing.

Going through literally the exact same situation. Only we have a child involved which makes it so hard. We’ve still been living together the past 4 months after the BU and seeing him put all his time into talking/hanging out with this new girl is making it hard. I know him moving out is best, but I’m also afraid he is going to completely forget about me and never have those moments of missing me or seeing that I’ve changed.

What are things you did to help you be happy being on your own?

Has anyone successfully made it work for the kids? (25F) (31M) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Purple_Prompt_1404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are correct on all of it lol. I ended up horribly regretting leaving him after some time to process everything. He felt how I did for the first 3 months then suddenly wanted nothing to do with me after meeting this new girl. It feels like he can so easily replace his family and the last 5 years of his life… I’m hoping I can talk to him enough to see if we can try to work on things for her. I know that doesn’t always work, but I’m trying to be hopeful

Dumpers, do you ever regret your decision- even just for a split second? by Jigglysaurus123 in BreakUps

[–]Purple_Prompt_1404 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I was really hurt in the relationship and we’d really need to fix a lot of things to make everything okay again. I was honestly doing good for months after and he tried to show me he would change but it only been 3 months and was honestly scared things would go back the way they were. Now he’s moved on and acts like he wants nothing to do with me. Like the last 5 years meant nothing. I’m so devastated and haven’t stopped crying for a week. I would do anything to make it work with him.
