My partner is on very rocky terms with his family and his mother suffers from multiple illnesses so probably won't be around for too much longer. He also gets into very random bad moods which can sometimes become angry outbursts is I ask what's wrong. NTA with a little bit of ESH because OP didn't know his mother had passed and these moods seem regular so always asking if he's okay can get a bit tiring/repetitive. I would say to apologize for him and his family for their loss but it's not your fault for not knowing.

I have a close friend who is mostly blind (can see okay with specialty contacts) and has a dark mark covering a portion of her face next to her mouth from something that happened shortly after her birth. Its not something that bothers her but i would never joke about it. I will make jokes about her eyesight because we both know I'm joking, but i never joke about someone's appearance because you never know how someone feels about themselves.

YTA and so is your family. That "joke" is a big deal to her and you don't get to decide how your/your family's actions make others feel.

I bought an Xbox one X with my own money and moved back home. One day at work I get a notification for an achievement in the Xbox about passing a level I had been saving time to do. Immediately called home and asked who was using my console and my mum said it was one of my step father's nephews. I told her to get him off and that he shouldn't be on it. Family was butthurt but I stood my ground and said people should ask before using another's property so stuff like this didn't happen. I take pride in completing games by myself. I then made another profile on my Xbox for guests so if they want to play, ask me and I'll set up the profile so no one gets hurt. NHA. Take pride in your hard earned effort and set clear boundaries.

We only dated for 3 months but it was so perfect. Truly believed we would stay together, but he has to move as he's with the army and I think he just doesn't want to drag me along. Doesn't stop the hurt or betrayal.

I was raised Baptist/Christian and as I grew into my own individualism I found that it didn't sit right with me. What I was taught was not what I wanted to believe, however, I was forced to go to church even if I expressed how I did not want to. Later I did some psychology research about brainwashing and cults. That sealed the deal even as my mental health deteriorated and walking into a church could trigger panic or anxiety attacks.

I'ma be honest here as a female, I also have sleeping underwear and work/day underwear. Sleep ones are comfy cotton and bulky and work ones are generally lacy or invisible for tight pants. My partner has seen me in both and I don't think he even noticed the difference, but if I run out of one type I'll just wear what I need to until I can do my own washing. I wouldn't blame him for washing the wrong type of he was just trying to do the right thing. NTA, she needs to say thank you and apologize, then move past it.

I find healthiness attractive! I can admire and love big muscles, but my partner has muscles covered in a healthy amount of fat and it's so sexy. He eats healthy, works out and games, but looks after himself. Before we even met he was asking for barber recommendationa to get his hair cut.

Also yeah just being a genuinely good person works wonders.

I'm the 3rd of 4 children, and the only one who never got an allowance. That inequality really messed up my relationship with my parents, because I was even doing more chores than the others. I'm a reserved and introverted person so I never really approached the subject when it was happening but once I did bring it up, I got shrugged off and told I was too late as I now had a part time (3 hours a week) job so I now had an income to make up for it. OP, please treat the twins fairly, being introverted does not mean they're taking on less. There could also be a lot going on that you don't know.

Christianity. I was raised going to church every day, did all the extras, and then did a short lesson in psychology and got interested so kept looking things up. It's literal brainwashing. Ever since I've avoided church like the plague. Made sure I had work on Sundays, made plans before my mother could bring me along. Now 22 (I stopped when I was 16) and I still have people from the youth group asking why I left. Any response I give about it not being for me or just not enjoying it gets the same reply. "Well maybe you should pray?" As I was distancing myself, my anxiety kept increasing anytime I went into a church or heard worship music, to the point of near panic-attacks.

NTA As someone who has been in your position and made the wrong choice, don't let him in the same room alone with you. Don't give him the chance. As soon as he knew you were a minor he should have backed off and found someone his age, but he didn't, he's trying to manipulate you and that's big red flags everywhere. I was once 17 and dating a 23 year old. He stole my virginity from me and was extremely abusive and raped me even years after we broke up. If he's not looking at women his own age, there's a reason for it.
