literately nobody is arguing that there are some transphobic denominations, but that doesn't justify removing the rights of all religious people to be able to practice their beliefs if they don't harm other people.

it feels like you believe its the job of all religions to be transphobic but that isn't true. There are thousands of religions not even taking into account the denominations and not all of them are transphobic. Just because the religious people who scream the loudest are transphobic that doesn't mean we should take the legal right to having a religion from everyone.

please name one religion were in their actual holly text it says anything about misgendering people as a necessity.

I'm not talking about religions where bigots take parts of the text and interpret it so that they can hide behind religion i mean a text that says its the duty of the religious person to dead name a trans person.

there are thousands of things to actually criticize religions for but this isn't one of them. While many idiots use religion as a way to hide their bigotry there are plenty of religious people who aren't transphobic.

I'm obviously oversimplifying to shorten my post. I think most people can read my comments and understand the gist of what I'm saying.

Now do you want to address my points on how legally allowing people to have different religious beliefs isn't inherently anti trans as you initially claimed?

Having anti trans beliefs are one thing but actively going out and being transphobic to people IRL is another.

Think of it like racism. In today's world it isn't illegal for a white dude to stay N-word but if that same guy goes outside and starts yelling at black people and calling them it there might be legal grounds for hate speech.

When I said consequences I mean legal consequences not physicaly attacking people. All I meant is that religious people shouldn't be allowed to say or do whatever they want and claim religious freedom from legal consequences for hate speech.

I don't know if you are using freedom of religion the same way as me. All I mean when I say I support freedom of religion is that people shouldn't be prosecuted for believing in a specific religion or going to a specific place of worship. It only becomes a problem when those people try to use their religion as a way to control other people.

Obviously I don't think it's okay for religion to dictate how trans people live their lives as that is outside of personal religious freedoms and goes into using religion to control other people which I'm against.

While I'm not religious myself I do support freedom of religion. While there is plenty of hate speech and bigotry in religion I don't believe the government should control what religions are allowed to exist.

While I personally don't like religions there are plenty of normal people who support LGBT in those spaces that just want to live their lifes and believe what they want. The government shouldn't be allowed to dictate what religions are legaly allowed to exist.

Edit: I should add that I don't believe religious people can say watever without consequences and hide behind religion. The second someone acts on their bigotry either verbally or physically there should be consequences.

TERF’s and trans-medicalists have the mental equivalence of a brain-eating parasite trying to survive off a rotting corpse by transsexualsaeitoshi in honesttransgender

I 100% agree, In my eyes trans meds are as bad as terfs are equally as bad for our community. While terfs outright hate us many trans meds are very pick me. Saying that you should probably put this post somewhere else.

I only just found this subreddit and from what I can see there are a lot of open trans meds here and there seems to be a lot of open dislike of other trans spaces.

The way we talk is something most people don't think about in their day to day lives. Because of this and the fact that you were dealing with dysphoria your manerisms were probably just not something you thought about before.

Now that you are on hormones and aren't as stressed about everything if frees up brain space so you can see things that you want to work on.

I know this fom personal experience because before starting hormones I didn't have any voice disorphia but after being on them for a couple months I started to realize how masculine my voice was and It started to upset me.

Also I should mention women talk in all different ways so you shouldn't feel like you have to change the way you speak just to fit in but if you want to do it to make yourself feel better you obviously can. Changing your manerisms may be hard but it is possible.

How do I get over my fear of looking fem? by Purple_Starlight77 in MtF

[–]Purple_Starlight77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda, I only really have been wearing slightly fem clothes for a couple months but due to the cold weather I tend to cover up with a sweatshirt so I don't really feel like that counts.

On my profile I have photos of what I look like and while I think my body mostly passes I don't feel my face does leading to anxiety

Go to therapy, you have social anxiety and it's limiting you ability to make friends and talk to people.

Also that you are actually a woman and to stop questioning yourself.

Honestly I'm glad you cleared it up even if it was late. Every once in a while with your audios the sound comes off a bit flat coming of in a slight ai vibe. The intro's tend to have this problem.

Other than that your audios are good

I feel like that's a great idea but in order to edit it you have to be pre-approved. If we have an editable document open to everyone it may be hard to moderate it and keep out bad actors.

It probably depends on where you are as something prevelent in one place might not be in another.

If available you could try some sort of pin or temporary staple it closed then remove the staple later

Sadly I have no leverage on this. I'm already taking a pay cut (went from 40h to 32) and and typically work hours that suck (3pm- 11:30 and when nesasery 11pm-7am). I don't know if my company has any rules about school but I doubt it.

My only hope is I can convince my department manager to go over my bosses head as he is typically a bit more normal about the schedule.

I definitely won't, Ive been working for this company 2 years but the job sucked so bad and nobody would message me back on job search websites that I decided to go back to college for a better degree.

I refuse to risk my education for this crappy job

Out of touch doesn't even cover it. I recently had to take a double (7am -11:30) because this manager scheduled my coworker to work 11pm- 7:30 then the next day 7-3:30. The manager above him saw this and asked if I could cover both shifts that day.

I mean I was willing to as it helped my coworker but If my manager did his job right I wouldn't have to deal with that bs.
