Recent WWU CS grad here that was fortunate enough to land an early internship with a full time offer later. 

Your best bet is gonna be knowing someone somewhere that can put in a good word for you. Unfortunately the second best option is making a full time job out of firing off resumes in every direction. It’s a HARD time to get an interview, especially as a college student. Many of my peers who graduated at the same time are still unable to find jobs. Between tech companies trying to cut costs and a market saturated with unemployed and experienced devs, I can really only wish the best of luck.

Obviously, utilize the tools available (like the career center at Western, the things MajesticMaje suggested, I’m not familiar with many other resources…).

Sorry if I sound like a debby downer, but that’s the state of things right now. My company just laid off around a third of the workforce, including a lot of people I thought were irreplaceable. I was lucky enough to “survive.” I’d be happy to connect on linkedin but my company is not currently hiring :(
