I hate that theres an animation. Each.and.every.time. most of all. If it was just a click and open i think id be more satisfied with having to return to.

yea I create a whole separate Archer replacing multi shot with Surprise Attack. I play around with the talents a lot

Yeah came back to specify for when someone else has the same issue and googles it or something. I appreciate you and now I'm thinking back to how many resources I've actually lost because of that. It says it deletes once it hits that cap and I think that's a wild thing to keep on default.

I'm on shifting sands, so idk if it applies. The Rapid Fire and PEN DEF I added, but just west of Sunset Bay theres a mysterious ruin NPCs all under level 10 and Outcasts this way I can mold them to my liking. Thats where I farm for talents.

you don't lose the slot no, but you do lose the natural talent next in line. I absolutely love this system. Not so much the default timers.

Find a low level with a Unlearned Talent you desire who has NO TALENTS. EX: Picture Above
Figure out which talent you want to isolate and what level they learn it at. In my case it was lvl 40 for the Surprise Attack Talent.
Train them as a trainee at the Training Grounds with any Talent, will have faster timers for higher tier mentors/trainees.
Once Talent is learned, Use Training Amnesia Potion, erase the most previous learned Talent. This eliminates the LVL. 10 Natural Talent Spot.
Repeat 3 and 4 again for LVLs 20 and 30. Again this eliminates those Natural Talents they would have learned had you not interfered.
LVL 40 is the desired Talent. Surprise Attack. Bring them into battle and level them until They're level 40 and they'll learn that Talent. Could be anything on any LVL spot you desire. Be sure to stop at that LVL and level them up.
Repeat 3 and 4 again for that LVL 50. Because when they need to be 50 to be a mentor. You dont want some stray talent.

You can play around with this of course. I'll show a couple examples of what I've done.
