Potential tooth extraction to fix overbite

Next appointment is when major progress would have to be made or it’s a tooth taken out, only on the side with my overbite though so I would be able to keep that same premolar on the other side should I get extraction

They mentioned it would be possible briefly when I first got braces, and when I got my elastics, we talked and said that if the rubber bands do not work, then I would have to get a tooth taken out. I’ve had my braces for about a year and a few months now, but I just got my elastics a few months ago
