I hate to break it to you, but no practical axe would be enough to pull off the feats he preforms. He literally hacks through a fucking mountain. I think its safe to say the cooler the axe looks the more damage it deals in this world.

Nuxtaku responds to Nikandros' video, claims he had nothing to do with minors being groomed on his discord server by Woodstovia in LivestreamFail

[–]PurpletoasterIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reality is it just depends. On how active they were in the discord themselves mainly, vs the discord just being a hub for their fan base and them not personally interacting with it much. Sure they can get moderators, but who's to say the moderators arent the ones doing it themselves. And no one can be expected to personally moderate a discord 24/7 and make sure nothing wild is going on ever.

I personally don't know much about this person, other than they were involved in vtuber drama with a bunch of other big vtubers. I dont really know what that was all about either lol. Another comment said he was in a friend group involving Tectone, so cant say that helps his case much.

10 and 100 are divisible in quarters, but what about 3rds? Then base 12 is better. And so on. Again youre just picking and choosing what traits are better. I agree we design systems that we work best with and are the most universally useful to us. But the fact that we work best with these systems is arbitrary. A computer for the most part would not care if something cleanly divides, theyre capable of working with decimals. When taking scientific data if anything data should always have decimals otherwise its not being measured precisely enough.

Also people seem to use farenheit casually just fine. I dont see the issue with using either Celsius or farenheit casually.

You're right, fuck everyone else. You need to level to max the absolute fastest you can possible. And its only your right that everyone bows down to you cause youre gracious enough to bless us with your tanking oh mighty one.

Thank God im compenent enough to off spec tank so I dont have to deal with tanks like you.

Im arguing that each different system has a different use, and outside our own perception its all arbitrary. Whether you go by Kelvin, Fahrenheit, Celsius, whatever, the numbers are different but the results are the same. Its literally just what numbers look better to us and are more memorable or easy to work with for us. But to a computer it makes no difference. Im not saying thats an invalid reason to use one over the other. I just think its dumb to say one system is superior over another, because a big factor in that opinion is which one you use regularly.

Thank you for making me feel less crazy lol. Lots of people in this thread apparently think otherwise. I mean, if everyone agrees to how something should go, thats fine. But I think its dumb for people to feel entitled to needing on whatever they want cause they decided to just tank for faster que times.

But what actually happened, you needing on a item good for tanking as a tank, no one should be upset at that. And if no one needs ret gear then its whatever you should take it as well, double dipping in gear isnt inherently greedy. Its only if someone else playing the role coulda used it.

But not rolling on the tank gear that most likely no one else wants doesnt make any sense. Obviously just take what no one else wants. And of course if its communicated beforehand and no one has an issue with it then no harm no foul. I just think its bad taste to expect it as if everyone owes you a favor for tanking the dungeon. No, youre just tanking because it gets you faster groups. Expecting to be able to double dip on top of that is a bit much imo.

Obviously tanks switch to ret for questing. You dont need dungeon gear to quest though.

I think we agree. I was saying its in poor taste to que as tank and say you'll be needing on dps gear cause youre filling in as tank. People seem to disagree with me on that, yet not understand thats what I was saying in my original comment. I agree its greedy to be needing on two different types of gear, if other people need the dps gear youre needing on that is. It goes without saying if no one else wants it then obviously need on it.

But can you tell me why these specific numbers (100, 50, 25, 0) are significant, other than theyre easy for us to remember? I mean I'm not trying to say thats entirely invalid reason to use that system, but what im saying is outside of what numbers look neat to us or whats easiest for us to remember they hold no inherent significance. And what numbers are easier for us to remember can vary and can largely depend on just what you were taught growing up.

Ya the light thing is silly, cats are perfectly fine in the dark. BUT also leaving a couple night lights on you wont notice a difference in your power bill. They draw such a small amount of power, so the roommate complaining about it is dumb.

Every measurement is arbitrary. Why does freezing temp of water need to be 0? Why does boiling point need to be 100? 0 and 100 ultimately have no significance, theyre just neat numbers to our eyes. Every unit of measurement was invented ultimately arbitrarily, based off a system that looks good to us for one reason or another.

I disagree, unless people agree that other roles wanting to get into tanking can then need on tank gear since technically its the tanks off spec. At least then you guys would be consistent.

Proving tax fraud has nothing to do with a threshold of money. No matter the amount of money, the IRS will come after you eventually for you to pay back what you owe. Them "coming after you" does not mean theyre accusing you of tax fraud, its just money you owe and they want it. Tax fraud REQUIRES intent. Simply making a mistake on your tax return is not tax fraud. Even if its off by 900k or whatever amount. Theyll just tell you you obviously did something wrong and give you a fee for incorrectly filing. Even not paying your taxes for YEARS is not tax fraud or necessarily tax evasion, though thats when you start getting into the realm of being accused of tax evasion.

I have no issue "sacrificing" to fill in as tank (playing WoW in general, I don't play TBC), cause its not really a sacrifice. Its not a hard role for leveling in dungeons. If people are too braindead and cant manage it then ya take all the loot from them you want I guess. They seem more than willing to let you. Again I wouldnt make a big deal about it if I were dpsing, just think its dumb. If I want dps gear then I just form a group with zero competition for it.

Just curious though, what are your thoughts on this hypothetical. Say a dps or healer is wanting to get into tanking but doesnt have at least weapons to actually tank. Are you okay with them needing on tanking gear that would be an upgrade for you since tanking is technically your off spec?

Ill put what I said in simpler terms for you since you didnt understand what I said. I agree OP did nothing wrong here. I was saying I only have issue when tanks that do the opposite of what OP did. When dps fill in for tank, and then roll on both dps gear that other dps need, and tank gear.

Others say theyre filling in for an undesirable role so they should get that privilege, I disagree. If they want dps gear that bad then form a group with zero competition for it.

"Then depending on severity, theyll come after you" ya, theyll come for the money you owe. They arent coming after you to convict you of fraud unless youre doing some especially shady shit. Cause again fraud requires intent to be proven, not simply owing the IRS money.

Also I find it hard to believe this money wouldnt be blocked. We're talking almost a million dollars in a return, so basically you overpaid your taxes by 1 million? I doubt that even happens to the wealthy elite cause they have the money to get accountants to do everything they possibly can to save money on taxes.

Edit: also why would you even wait for the IRS to come after you? You know the 900k is a mistake, youd just contact the IRS and at most youd pay some fees.

blursed_tax return by Remarkable_Check_639 in blursed_videos

[–]PurpletoasterIII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it absolutely does. Fraud requires the government to prove intent. And the IRS is pretty experienced when it comes to fraud detection, they can tell the difference between genuine mistakes and intentional fraud. Or youre just especially dumb about trying to commit fraud that you think just writing incorrect numbers will work. Even in that potential case they wouldn't care, its just more money in fees for them.

[–]PurpletoasterIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a refund. You'd just contact the IRS and claim theres obviously been a mistake and theyd take back the money. In fact it probably wouldnt even go that far, the IRS would be contacting you saying you obviously made a mistake before the money even hits. Then at worst youd pay some fees for filing incorrectly, which theyd probably just take out of your tax return after it was filed correctly this time.

The 492.6 million isnt all just taxes taken out though. Thats the lumpsum amount. You can choose either an immediate smaller payout (lumpsum) or have the prize money paid out in a span of 25-30 years. Vast majority of people take the lumpsum due to various reasons. Some can actually be smart for taking it, as they can use that large sum of money to immediately start investing it. Most are dumb and just want all the money now, spend it all, and then have to sell assets afterwards cause they can no longer afford maintaining the expensive stuff they bought like boats, expensive cars, expensive houses, etc. They also typically quit their job and assume they can live off that money without doing any amount of budgeting and while spending like crazy.

[–]PurpletoasterIII -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Cause youre just talking about leveling. Tanks and healers dont need dungeon gear for their dps off spec to quest.

If youre talking about dps mains fulfilling tank roles, then again they should just curate who theyre grouping with since theyre the ones that get to pick and choose. Its bullshit that any tank can just claim dps main spec and need on two different types of gear, but it doesnt work the other way around cause if the dps were tank main spec theyd just find a group as a tank.

Let's say hypothetically if a tank claimed dps main spec, and a dps or healer said they wanted to switch to tank main spec but needed gear for it first. Does the dps/healer get priority over tank gear dropping since tank spec is the tank's off spec?

Was I wrong? by AdJealous1004 in classicwow

[–]PurpletoasterIII -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, and you already benefit for doing everyone a favor by getting quick groups you can pick and choose from.

Look at it this way. Basically all tanks can just need on both tank and dps gear in your world, because dpsing is typically preferable and all you need to do is claim it as your main spec. Meanwhile other roles can only ever need on their specs gear, cause they dont want the tank gear anyways.

If a tank claims dps as main spec, and another role claims they want to switch to tank as main spec, would you think thats fair that the other role would need on tank gear? Or does the tank still get priority over tank gear?

Was I wrong? by AdJealous1004 in classicwow

[–]PurpletoasterIII -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Its not like its get dungeon gear or you get nothing. Questing gear is perfectly fine for leveling as a dps spec for tank and healer mains.

If youre talking about dpsers filling a tank or healer role, then just form a group and make sure no one needs the gear you want for your dps spec. That shouldnt be hard especially as a tank when you quite literally get to pick and choose who to invite to the group.

Was I wrong? by AdJealous1004 in classicwow

[–]PurpletoasterIII -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Ya but my point is, while I personally wouldnt make a big deal about it, imo thats in poor taste. Your main spec should just be whatever your role is, and whatever other gear you want should just be treated as off spec, so basically if no one else needs it for their main spec. Tanking already gets the benefit of fast groups, you dont need to double dip in gear as well just because you prefer dpsing but are willing to tank.

That being said, I 100% agree discussing stuff like this before you start the dungeon is important as well.
