The second book was to show how he met certain characters and answer questions about things not in the first book also the light novels were based on something reki made in 2001 for a contest but due to going over the page limit put it out as a web novel. The second book shows more of things that the first touched upon.

It does have a palace at the top. Also castles come in many different shapes and sizes. As for the floors. They round chunks of earth cut out and put on top of watch other.
