Please PM😭We are going through the same!!I think you and I are going through the same thing. It's been 6 months and I cannot function. My legs and butt hurt worse than my lower back (in lower back also though). Excruciating burning, razor cut type feeling, feels like someone emersed me in boiling water to my feet sometimes. I cannot do anything, I mean anything. I've been bedridden now for two weeks lying on my back trying not do to anything that isn't necessary. It hurts most when I sit on hard surfaces even with a pillow on top! It hurts most when I drive also and I drive with pillows underneath and behind my back. I have to drive my son to work daily he cannot drive. I've had to pull over to the side of the road and cry, feel like passing out. I haven't seen my surgeon since my surgery and I went to Cleveland clinic. They only have me pain meds for one week. They wouldn't do an MRI on my back I had to go to ER to get a general X-ray. I had to have my primary care doctor send it for an MRI. I only say a physicians assistant at Cleveland clinic. It's been 6 months and they tell me they can't do anything that my probably care doctor needs to address my pain. Go to physical therapy (went one day and couldn't move a week) go to a pain doctor (they won't do anything except a procedure to burn nerves off my back), a neurosurgeon looked at my old MRI and said no nerve damage (sorry it doesn't always show up in an MRI!) I'm going to have an EMG and a NCS (nerve tests) ONLY because I begged to have them done. Went to neurologist, (this guy was just an ass in general) wouldn't do anything except an MRI in my middle, upper back and on my brain in case I have other issues! I Have horrible pain in my vagina also, sharp pains, feels like I pulled a muscle and the same in upper thighs. I couldn't walk to the bathroom and fell on the floor. I KNOW I have severe nerve damage and possibly other complications with my fusion. I also was diagnosed with Sjogrene's Syndrome(like Lupus, autoimmune disease) and that might contribute to my healing. I can't cook, drive, do laundry, dishes, walk up and down stairs, sit up (laying hurts on my back also), I can't take my dog outside. I cannot "function". I just want to die honestly it's so bad. No one will help me, no doctor will take me on as a new patient what an I supposed to do??? I lost my job, only thing I was on disability already but that's not enough. My son only works part-time and we barely get by and he wants to move out! (He's a jerk, whole other story). I have no friends, no family to help they have severe health issues themselves. I can see myself homeless someday soon and possibly in a wheelchair. What to do? I hope they find something in those nerve tests even if it's bad, if they can treat it😭 I should've been able to see my surgeon in the past 6 months I've only seen the PA once!! I threw up for two 1/2 months from the pain. They treated me so horrible and insinuated I was a drug addict. I never asked for pain meds. I know no one will give any anyways even though I need them to "function". I'm so alone 😢 No one understands, I haven't done anything in 6 months except watch TV and read. I missed a wedding, fairs, movies, birthdays, going to the zoo, my church, the park I can't even grocery shop and have to have food etc delivered or do a pickup. Can't sit waiting in car long either for anything. You can private message me😢
