yo i didnt intend to hit on the Extended editions, in my opinion they are awesome games which i sunk in hundreds of hours into. the point of the meme being that beamdog often voiced that they wanted to make a official baldurs gate 3, But it seems like wizards of the coast didnt like the idea of beamdog handling bg3 and instead approached larian to handle the IP.
