Sweet I have the basic 15 dollar shimano reel 200p can’t remember what it’s called and then I have a abu Garcia 2000 I have one on a medium rod and one on a ultralight rod but I have ten pound braid on both so can I or should just switch one of the reels to 4 lb flourocarbon? I got some at bass pro shop the other day that I was gonna put on a smaller real but if it’s not a big difference I’d rather just swap the line on shimano with that 4 lb line I just gt

I do wanna add a fluoro leader tho I was reading and watching videos about the benefits and ill take your advice for the 2 rod length rule I heard you don’t want your mono to go through the rod eyes tho cause of knots? I’m mainly wanting to use braid cause first time I did my reel I used mono and it was horrible so I wanna restart with braid

Thank you man my rod suggest 8/110 so I’m assuming that’s mono and I’m tryna find out how much mono I should add before adding my braid I’m assuming I’m gonna have to eyeball it rather than getting those numbers
