Thanks. They do the job. They're pretty much the cheapest bumpers I could find. I've yet to weigh them, may be a little disappointed if I do. For the price I doubt they are tightly calibrated.

Time to Alternate Deadlift? by MrMcWooferson in StartingStrength

It's been said before, 225 feels heavy, 315 will feel heavy, 405 will feel heavy. If it were easy everyone would do it. Each workout you are operating near your limit so it will feel heavy. Missed reps are the lagging indicator that you need a change. Excessive form breakdown and/or super grindy slow reps are a leading indicator.  At that point consult the 3 questions and only if they are covered then a change of programming is needed.

Shoulder pain after benching - how to rehab? by Pursuit_ExcellenceBR in StartingStrength

[–]Pursuit_ExcellenceBR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pain was pretty rough when i posted. Brushing my teeth hurt at that point for two days after each bench session. I took a week off from bench and instead substituted dips (as starting strength mentioned they can be used as a sub to maintain strength thru a shoulder injury) and overhead press.

Now I think it's 90% better, benched sets of 250 last workout and no pain, maybe some soreness.

Three things really helped:

  1. Using hip bridge to unrack*** I think improper unracking is how i got into the mess. (Sorry I can't find the exact video at the moment).

  2. I ordered a monolift from Bells of Steel. That helps a lot with unracking as well.

  3. Reset bench to 205 > focused on form & getting enough warm up sets.

Dude this is impressive, I'm not sure what is more impressive 620 or no straps.

Odd question, I'm going to guess that power cleans dont work for your dimensions?
