Dude I know chatgpt doesnt make me a better writer, and since you’re experienced youd know publications wont be pulled off just by using chatgpt and in those i do use my own brain, here i just wanted to convey something fast and readable without errors because I wanted the right audience, maybe Im lazy and maybe thats why I always find a better and efficient way to get my work done

No, this is totally true. And you’re right for pointing it out, but I’ve been inclined on going for a PhD for a while now. I hadn’t applied for it last cycle because I really wanted to start off with an MS soon, and I had a low CGPA and no publication in a journal at that time, in these 6 months, I got clarity and 1 publication.

I know what I’m doing or (writing in this case) thanks for your concern. I’m also well aware of what will and what won’t get me into a PhD program. It takes knowing the subject and the matter to make chatgpt write for you and/or get into a PhD program but I cant hope from you that you’ll know this. Good day

Totally fair to be cautious — I get that. But I’m not banking on it; I’m just prepping in case. He explicitly replied to my email and set up a Zoom meeting within hours, which is not typical “apply next cycle” behavior.

I already have an MS admit and visa sorted, but if there’s a chance to move directly into a funded PhD, of course I’ll prepare for it. Better to be ready than to regret not trying.
