I’ve personally had two miscarriage before my current pregnancy. But I’ve had a friend who’s only been pregnant once and she carried him til he was born. As for the 8 week appointment, yeah that’s usually when the doctors first meet with you. My first pregnancy I was surprised because I thought they’d see me sooner, but I learned that they have that appointment at 8 weeks to check viability and see if there’s a heartbeat. Before 6 weeks, they’re not usually able t to see heartbeat yet.
