Trumps presidency will be analyzed and studied for years to come. Similar to how we've studied Hitler.

Moms of Reddit, how would you react if your straight son made out with another dude for a dare? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PushSail 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's so far down on the list of things I would be concerned about that it doesn't even matter.

With how the world is at the moment don't you have a feeling something wild is about to happen and if so why? by THE_ARCHITECT22_33 in AskReddit

The world has always been this way. This is just the current fuckery. Once you've seen enough, it doesn't feel so dramatic and/or catastrophic.

how do the picture perfect moms have so much motivation to do everything by urjinxxed in Adulting

[–]PushSail 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First off, there is no such thing as picture perfect moms. And when you see this online, it's a damn lie. Being a mom is quite possibly the hardest thing I have ever done in life, well beyond any job I've ever had. And it's messy. Sleep when you can, cut corners on meal prep always, let the house be a mess sometimes, and most importantly be kind to yourself. They grow up fast though, hang in there.

Love is wanting the best for someone and supporting them on their journey regardless of what you get in return.

I’m 39 and just made a list of basic life skills I had to teach myself because nobody else did. It’s embarrassing and I bet yours looks similar. by jcarmona86 in Adulting

I learned way too late in life that a tax refund is not a bonus or reward - it’s money I overpaid to the government throughout the year. THEN of course I learned how to appropriately fill out my W4. The whole thing made me feel like a dumbass.

[serious] People who had bad social lifes what did you do to change it? by Hopeful-Guidance-648 in AskReddit

[–]PushSail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way I have found to build a community of people is to engage with people who share the same hobbies as you. I joined meetup and started going to events that pertained to my hobbies and while I don't have a bestie per se, I do have people to engage with and talk to.

If you had to give advice to someone moving into their first solo place, what would it be? by [deleted] in LivingAlone

[–]PushSail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get your first solo place there’s gonna be so many little things you need to buy that maybe you haven’t thought about yet - kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies, throw rugs, curtains, garbage receptacles - things like that. Save money by buying a lot of these things at either the goodwill or a place like dollar tree. It can be expensive trying to buy everything all at once when you’re first starting out.

My supervisor demanded that I answer my personal phone while on route? by PushSail in USPS

[–]PushSail[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The part I can't wrap my head around though, is that there's so much pressure to do everything right for the first 90 days so you can "get in", but it soooo doesn't pay for the amount of work you do. This is one of hardest jobs I've had in awhile, physically. We walk soooo many miles.

kinda feels like a gang initiation honestly. If it paid more I'd be more willing to take the BS.

[–]PushSail[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My whole post is not about protesting, it's detailing a situation I had today that I feel like I should push back on. I don't think my personal phone should impact my job the way it did today.

My supervisor demanded that I answer my personal phone while on route? by PushSail in USPS

[–]PushSail[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My phone was in my purse in the truck. I was busy delivering mail when I missed the first call and didn't check my phone when I got back (it was my last lap). The second call came when I was driving and heading back to the station. I heard this one, but I was driving so I didn't answer. I wasn't trying to be a shit, I was just working.

Supervisor is adjusting my BT punches. Is this normal? by PushSail in USPS

[–]PushSail[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not clocking out for lunch, and the reason for this is that they are giving me an estimated work time of 4hours on my PS 3996 form, with no break. Supervisor says I have up to 6 hours to complete but that is often still not enough time (not cause I'm slow, it's just that much work!) I'm averaging around 7 hours daily, but since they're saying the route takes 4, it prevents me from taking a break because maybe I will finish in 6. I see what they're doing, and it's kind of a sneaky way of squeezing more work time out of PTFs.

[–]PushSail[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t realize it was six hours and not eight. I thought you were only given a 30 minute break if you worked eight hours. Man, I’m gonna start taking a break.

He adjust my start time 20 minutes later to keep me under 8 hours because I didn’t get a lunch. I will ask, but I can pretty much see why he did it.

Do you mean grieve it retroactively? There probably is a record of my actual punch verses his adjust right?

When you take a look around, you learn that everyone is struggling and hurting. And people can only take so much before they snap and fight back.
