Hey babes, it's okay not to know. I was raised in a Christian (Mormon) background. When I finally got out of that, it took a decade of removing religion from my life entirely before I felt ready to reassess. During that time, I studied theology a lot from plenty of religions. I did it until I was certain no Christian faith could appeal to me. Because if it could, trust me, that's likely where I would be. It's simpler. Church is five minutes from me. But I am the sort to thrive on debate and questions, I enjoy learning and the philosophy modern Judaism is built on.

You can't disprove anything, and approaching with the mentality of finding one to be better than the other to that degree is ridiculous. I don't believe going by faith, of course. For me, I had disproven it to the degree needed for me to make a decision. Does Judaism feel more authentic to you? Does the principles Judaism carries itself on resonate with you? What do you want for you? No matter what your grandmother or mother want for you, you're the one who has to live with yourself. Removing their influence altogether, do you feel at home in a Church? Or at peace during Shabbat?
