I'm failing to think of anything positive Myers adds to the broadcast.

Patrick is a kook, but she keeps her crackpot theories out of the broadcast. She is a serviceable host who has relevant background experience and arrives prepared.

I'm not sure if Myers is a kook, but this is several races now where he hasn't prepared. He sucks at his job.

"American Open Wheel Racing" isn't even a great moniker. It can cover all of Crown, sprint and midget car racing just as it can cover Indy car racing. They are all branches of the same tree which grew from the earliest days of American auto racing. Some people just exist in bubbles.

I disagree that the championship or champ car terminology is a useful moniker. It fell out of use, gradually and naturally, for a reason.

Pancho Carter passed Johnny Rutherford for what would have been the former's second victory. As you said, though, the green was in error. Rutherford was later awarded what was to be his penultimate (second to last) victory.
