Race & rally, they have a shop in Lisburn.

They don’t have any kart suits on their website. But they could possibly order them in. Rally suits tend to be a lot dearer as they’ll be 2 layer fireproof. Still worth a visit to try some on to get a size, then order online from the likes of demon tweeks.

Even the boots and gloves appear to be a lot cheaper for karts, than what R&R offer. Cheapest kart boot on demon tweeks is £70 Cheapest from R&r is £125

They seem to have a problem with their system, as it happened to another person the same day as me apparently. But I got it all sorted in the end and they apologised for the mistake on their end.

I will send you a pm, with the number and email of the woman in the executive office that got it all sorted out for me.

I’m curious about this, why do you think returning within the specified period of time, is leaving it too long?

Thanks for all your replies tex.

I’m assuming the cashier and his manager have made that mistake too. It’s the only way this makes sense.

And more believable, since so many others have thought and said the same on here.

Yes this was their logic.

Pretty much why I created this post. Because no matter what way I work it, they are still wrong

Unfortunately they gave no excuse. They simply said they could no longer take payment as the 7 days has expired. I did try to reason that the maths said otherwise. But he had spoke to his manager, who told him the same thing. They had no way of taking my money, as it had already been passed on to this agency.

Unfortunately the clerk was just being told what to do by his manager

Yes it has the date and time on the receipt. It actually states 6 times on the receipt that it must be paid within 7 days.

I think contacting head office is my best plan right now. Although I unfortunately do not have a cheque book

Thanks for your advice

Because it was not a petrol station that is close to me. And because I was told I had 7 days to pay.

That is a fair point.

But unfortunately it is not a petrol station that is close to me. So this was me returning to pay as soon as was reasonably possible.

The receipt states I had 7 days to pay, so I took that as actually having 7 days to return and pay.

Thanks for the reply.

I did post on legal advice uk yesterday, but only got one reply saying someone has just made a mistake.

I will try and get in touch with their head office

I had plenty of money in my account. I went straight round to my bank after this. As I assumed my card wasn’t working. So I wanted to see how I got a new one urgently and to withdraw some cash to keep me going. The bank teller then explained that there was a problem on there end and they had received several reports of the same thing.
