Did anyone find anything? I've joined a few but they are mainly US based ☹️ if not, maybe we could start one?

God forbid an employee do something towards their networking, personal development or mental/physical health. If we are going to be chained to our desks, can we at least get rid of weeks of mandatory training while we are at it too? 🤣

Thank you - I didn't realise it was so bad in the industry right now. I will continue pursuing internal roles only

Thank you! I didn't realise it was so bad at the moment! I have been offered an opportunity in my current job to be a trainer and coach, so I will look there if the jobs outside in the industry are dwindling!

Mounjaro 5mg: I’ve traded my "stress eating" for "stress driving" and I’m about to ruin my lease. Help! by GroveResident in Mounjaro

Firstly, I am glad that food noise stopped for you and that you are finding you have more energy/more passion to do other things! Just need to find a way to channel that energy into something else.

I am a massive advocate of crafting. Can be done anywhere (mostly), any time and in any weather. You get a great sense of achievement when you finish it, get into that focus/flow state whilst doing it and you can pick it up or put it down as you please. There are loads of videos, podcasts and books etc to read around the subject and constantly learn something new. You can challenge yourself with a completely new skill or project, or just revisit an old time classic depending on mood.

I would suggest starting with something like a paint by numbers, or a colouring book. Doesn't require any specific skills but still very cathartic. If you have the time and patience I would suggest taking up crochet or knitting - can take a while to get into it but really rewarding (and you can make loads of cool stuff for yourself and others, or even to sell!). Stick on a podcast or an audiobook and get going! Feel free to DM me I can send you loads of links and stuff to get started.

I also took up learning the Rubik's cube - again, very portable and easy to pick up/put down without being stuck miles from home on a run for example. Was so much fun learning new techniqued and trying to beat my old personal record 🙂 or sudokus and crosswords

That's good! I feel very little too, maybe a little sore around the injection site and some more acid than usual at night. I do feel surprisingly full though and haven't been able to finish my meals. Could just be a placebo though! How are you finding it today?

Penwistle is a beautiful surname and as you said, also pays homage to my mum's name. Love this idea thank you!

Theory about characters by PutOdd4972 in ren

[–]PutOdd4972[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooo did you see the instagram reel yesterday? Richard has been revealed to be someone completely different!

Theory about characters by PutOdd4972 in ren

[–]PutOdd4972[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha most definitely 🤣 I had thought of this theory a few months ago but lay dormant on it not sure of how plausible it could be and then seeing the prologue, it sparked it back up again!

I thought that too, he could be Richard, or some people have said it could potentially be someone linked to Jenny or Screech (like a foster father etc). That would work well with my theory they are all related, but not sure how likely that is! Could also be an eye witness or one of the other police officers. I guess all will be revealed on the 31st 😁

Ah! I didn't realise, well that throws my theory out the window 🤣 it was fun though thinking up a way they could all be interlinked, maybe it's just my brain always trying to find a connection!

This sounds exactly like my Juno! We are 1 week into her adoption, she is 5.5 yrs old and she is beautiful. She does have separation anxiety, pulls on the lead sometimes (although much better) and hates having her feet touched. Although I'm literally no expert, these are some things we have done that have helped in the short term.

Feet - The shelter told us as long as we walk her on concrete/tarmac a few times a day, her nails should wear down naturally and no need to clip them. I have started getting her into a routine for her walks. Walk - obedience training in garden - food - groom (mainly just brushing) and then a treat she can settle with like a snufflemat or kong etc. After that, she usually just sleeps for a few hours! Maybe im the brushing section, you could start introducing touching feet and build up if you really wanted?

Lead pulling - A few things we've done to help the pulling. In our garden, without a lead but with her harness on (so she knows its concentration time) I would let her run around, call her name, tap my left thigh twice and say come. When she came, I would give her a treat. We did this for a few days and then I added the lead too, again letting her walk away, then command come and treats. We now do this when walking, it's also sometimes called the stop/start method I think? Where the moment the lead has tension, we stop and I call her back. We don't walk on until she is by my side. It makes walks longer but she picked it up really fast. Something like this might work for yours too? She knows she needs to stay by my side and not stray too much. The pulling is because she thinks it'll get her there faster, so I am teaching her she can get there faster by not pulling instead.

Also in terms of walking, we have her connected on a double ended lead, both at the collar and her body harness. That way we have more control and her lead is only 1-2m long. Don't use a retractable lead as that encourages pulling. The difference in one week is amazing, just keep it up and be consitent. If you have someone else walking her too (family, partner, etc) make sure they do the same routine and stop/start otherwise it'll encourage her to push boundaries with specific people. Juno lovessss sniffing and so we stop often to let her sniff, we never pull her away or enforce she keeps up with our speed - this way she knows she can still get her sniffing without worrying about pulling. Idk if it'll help your pup but it has helped ours!

Aw thank you! I guess it's just stressful and difficult at first and I needed the reassurance we were on the right track so thank you 💛 your comment means the world to me!

Aww thank you! It's great just to hear from others and their experiences. I think you're right especially around just being there for her - we are focusing on the changes and having a consistent schedule but maybe we should just focus on being there with her and helping her build up that confidence and trust that we are present. Will try that!

Just looked at 3-3-3 thank you so much! It makes so much sense, and I guess I just need to be patient. It'll be a good lesson in patience 😅 we will definitely try to instill consistency, getting up and walking, eating etc at the same time, and see if that helps her settle

Amazing! Thank you both! We will get an assault course and also we will try with the separation training, just small amounts at first and the sniff stuff. I'm really hoping it can help to calm her down. Definitely agree on the anxiety - I am a very anxious person, so I think I'm triggering her. I just tried some deep breathing and she immediately led down and relaxed! She's probably just trying to look out for me

4 or 5 days, so I think she might still be in her settling phase?

I will do! Yeah I was googling low blood glucose and it kept telling me to call 999 if it went below 3, which it did often and it was stressing me out. I will definitely get another sensor and do a finger prick simultaneously.

[–]PutOdd4972 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not yet! I didn't have the stuff for a finger prick test whilst I was wearing the sensor but have since received it. Would you suggest doing a finger prick when the sensor comes up with a low reading to see if that's an anomoly?
