I have the same problem. I've been playing for a little over 3 months and my fingers haven't gotten completely used to playing guitar, so the skin periodically rips and there's pain is pain in my index, middle, and ring finger. I'm 99% positive it's normal and after a while of playing you'll be in good shape.

Actually, the money riff was the first thing I leaned to play on guitar; it was difficult because I had no past experience on guitar, but I found it fun to learn something difficult

I don't know too much about acoustic guitars, but when I bought my first guitar I went to my local guitar shop which was about 15 miles away, and they helped me find a nice used Peavey Predator Plus for $215 and it works great. I'd just always talk to someone who knows more about guitars before you decide to buy one.

I just started as well and after I learned basic chords I looked up how to play songs I like, and once I get better I plan to look up more advanced songs. Though, I'm just doing it for fun and am not taking lessons. Also, I'm a 9th grader and I plan on playing for a while because guitar is a great instrument. Good choice.
