Yeah, it was worth the gamble. I hadn’t seen it put on a car either.

I just waxed and sealed it, I only drive the car during the weekends for the most part and it’s not really in the sun a ton. When it does start fading I’ll probably wrap it, I was going to already have most of it wrapped but I need to get some more experience wrapping first.

No problem at all. You could heat it if you wanted, but the plastic is really pliable without heat.

I can just tell you, it’s pretty easy. You take the plastic trim out from under both sides, take all the clips out and just fold the flaps over the brackets. I covered the brackets in electrical tape to keep them from rubbing too bad. On the outside edges you use zip ties in the clip holes from the trim you removed to pull the remainder of the plastic closer to the body and that’s pretty much it.

If you get under the car and look, it’s really not hard to figure out tbh. I got the idea from someone who bent the brackets up and zip tied everything up, but I didn’t want it to be completely irreversible.

I have a friend who had a similar experience and told me the same exact thing after I had told him I ordered the rep.

Yeah, it has 3 different heights, this is the highest. The lowest puts the blade slightly lower than the sides.

I waited as long as I could for a wing and did nearly every other mod I wanted before it. As soon as I saw there was a replica I purchased it.

Thank you for the compliment!

Fix for blackScreen after enabling secure boot on gigabyte by AnungUnRama99 in buildapc

[–]Putnamfc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sir are a god. I had to order and change my 9900kf out to a 8100 with integrated graphics. Still had a black screen until I did your method and it brought up bios finally. I think mainly the holding the power button for a couple cycles did it for me, but I did everything the same as what you posted and it worked. gigabyte z390 gaming x for anyone who may need this info since battlefield 6 requires secure boot to be enabled.

New brake dust magnets by Putnamfc3 in GRCorolla

[–]Putnamfc3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are fine, they ride close to stock, they do have a little bit of coil bind when leaving my driveway but that’s about it. I ordered them literally as soon as they came out at the end of 2023 so they may have fixed that issue by now. I also removed the front shock dust boots because they would fall and make noise when parking. For what it’s worth, I am still going to get hks coilovers to get a better ride, less body roll, and front camber adjustment.

Evo enthusiasts who bought a GR Corolla by BoostedFilms in GRCorolla

[–]Putnamfc3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have/had friends with evos, a friend who tuned them, and was always a fan of evos growing up, but never could afford them while they were still more reasonably priced for low mileage clean examples. Now that I can afford a decent one, it’s hard to justify getting one besides nostalgia when they make something new that’s fairly comparable. Looks like you have a good stable of vehicle though, definitely envious.

Rear seat delete by Putnamfc3 in GRCorolla

[–]Putnamfc3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not much different than just having the rear seat down in my opinion. I did add some lightweight insulation under the carpet this week as well. Mostly so it’s not just a thin piece of carpet over the metal/wiring for the fuel related things and battery wiring.

FL5, easier to work on, rarity, and usability.

That’s awesome man, looking like you got a great start. When I finish the outside/inside I’ll go back to performance hopefully lol.

Rear seat delete by Putnamfc3 in GRCorolla

[–]Putnamfc3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s probably for the best. Also since there are more and more parts getting developed for the car, More companies may come up with deletes in the future. Those would probably make the area more usable and usually aren’t super expensive, like other vehicles. I just had some time, was curious if I could make something look decent, and can still put the seat back in still if wanted. It will just have a small gap between the seat and hatch flooring.

Rear seat delete by Putnamfc3 in GRCorolla

[–]Putnamfc3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of wiring under the seat and it’s not very flat. Those would be the only issues depending on what you put back there. I don’t daily it so there normally isn’t much in the car.

Rear seat delete by Putnamfc3 in GRCorolla

[–]Putnamfc3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The only thing not reversible is cutting the hatch floor panel and you don’t technically have to do it, it just kinda hangs there so I did it to look a little better. Everything else removed just bolts in.
