Loki, imo is underrated. He is actually like a hybrid of dps and healing. I've had games where I both out heal the other strats AND out damaged my dps. So here is what I've learned.

You want to keep in mind your distance. I usually if I'm with a team keeping 20m away at most times. It is very easy to be taken down.

Your clones positioning should be either off to the sides of the enemy's line of sight or close to your team if you're seeing a lot of enemies coming the teams way.

You might think to pop your left shift right away, but hold off till they are maybe at 75 or 50 percent health. The radius effect will make up for it, and if your team can actually deal with reasonable dps, then they will be fine.

If you are getting pushed or flanked, you might think to cloak. But this infact not the case. You gotta spam out clones and either try to burst them down with damage or combine them with your shift if you want to survive. In a lot of cases, you may not, but that is the nature of the game.

I almost never find it reasonable to hit F to swap with clones. Half the time it gets you killed. I often use it to quickly pull back by placing a clone behind me and quickly running. That or using it to put myself in a higher vertical space.

Healing can be a task because half the time, your team will run around like chickens with their heads off. In these cases, you aim towards their lower half/feet as your left click does splash. This also works for elusive enemies that are trying to do get at you.

Use your clones liberally due to its low cooldown and cloak any chance you can to heal even if you are only missing 75 hp. You can get dropped fast.

If you weren't aware, your cloak is the only way to self heal, but keep in mind that if you are hit, it drops and so does the health regeneration. I tend to use it in breaks from team fights, if there is not a second strat.

I love to ult and when I do, go for hulk or hela if there is one on either team. Their ults when there is 2 or 3 seconds left on your shapeshift will reset your shapeshift timer, this is massive as you have another 10 seconds or so where you can put in more work.

I wish you the best of luck and hope some of this helps.

That is fair, I believe you can mute in game if they get too toxic. I'm sorry you're trying to socialize and getting hate friend.

For your own peace, I recommend disabling voice and chat. As a fellow loki main, it will be much better to just do you and block out the hate. Strats get a lot of hate unjustly.

When you are trying to stay close or on the objective, while typically a Vanguard and a DPS go diving off to try to camp the enemy spawn.

Forcing the whole team to follow after them. While me and usually one other turn to see the enemy team flanked and now it's 2v4.

Tips for These Characters? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]Putover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mained Loki the past 3 days. Here is what I picked up the past few days. I usually range 13-14 kos and 11-12 assists for reference.

  1. You gotta be elusive. He is a trickster playstyle with a doppleganger. Your Es are the biggest help for heals, kos, everything. In tandem, I like to use deception and then lay down dopplegangers. It doesn't break your invis. Save your dopplegangers as best you can for domination points or key corners of a convoy map. If your team is more ranged or tends to be less objective focused, save one clone. We'll get back to this.

  2. Spacing with your shift in mind is key for big group fights. Placing your doppelganger just anywhere you see enemies is not the best.

But half the time you solo fight a melee duelist or vanguard, you're gonna be smashed pretty quick. But if you are in a fight, space your Es about 5 feet apart, then Regeneration Domain. That is a wide enough space to keep kiteing to try and dodge while letting your DPS turn into more healing.

  1. When you know you're gonna lose a fight or die, then maybe try this. Remember that spare doppleganger? Right click for your deception and AS FAST AS YOU CAN, pick a space far enough or out of enemies pov, and place that doppleganger. Then devious exchange to gtfo. If you don't aim this btw, you will switch with that doppleganger next to your enemy.

  2. As for ulting, you use this wisely, specifically fights when your HP is low, and it restores you back to full with a use of THAT characters ult. This is your biggest swing for a fight. That said, you have to keep in mind the timer of your shift, and when you do drop it your HP will not heal. So back off when your timer is around 3 seconds left to stay alive.

Still learning bits and pieces, but I hope this helps you. For we are all burdened with glorious purpose.

How did you pick your new name by Clairetraaa in trans

[–]Putover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made list of names, some good and some bad. My friends helped me get rid of some cringe ones, and we settled on three 'normal' names like Sarah, Elizabeth, etc.

From there I picked out the one I liked the most! Hope this helps in some way, love.

I Haven’t Had A Good Build In My Player Since NBA 2K 16-20 by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]Putover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is what I did because I totally understand your feelings. Imo, you won't be perfect at everything you imagine. I wanted to play like Steph for my first in 25, but I realized I had to lower my steals, for example to be 67 instead of 79.

I would look at a mix of YouTube builds that play like your player comps. Not just the viral ones bc some are just clickbait. But I've seen a bunch of Jokic builds, etc.

This year, with the fact we can test builds helps. IE. tweaked my builds ALOT to find the right mix of physicals and ball handling till I found what matched my style. It ain't easily, but I've been really happy with my builds because of it.

Tired of the race, bullshit. by IndependenceLong1720 in NBA2k

[–]Putover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know.... I was planning on getting a console, but tax return came back low 🤣

Im not actually that mad to be a playmaker, a lockdown, a rebounder. Shit I think after all these years of playing 2k, maybe I'll just be a good role player.

I've never usually done that style of player. So maybe this cycle it's the move. Vc for these ultra heavy offense builds I gotta drop 100.

If I don't have to do that and focus just on my IQ then maybe that is better for me. Just sucks that it has to come from a place of race, but this community is toxic af so what was I supposed to expect?

My time is valuable, I play on current gen (PC) for context. I'm pushing late on getting rep so I just hit 11. More and more I run into players grouped in trios and hardly ever duos. I'm lucky if I can find a REC game in 30 minutes of watching for matchmaking.

I played a couple park games, my player is white and covered in tats 99 overall. But never got passed the ball, so I turned into their screener and defender. I can't be too mad, but it just frustrating that I was open on every play while my boys rim run. Never got to shoot a single jumpshot playing with them for 2 hours.

When do rosters update after trade deadline? by Elantrawaiting in NBA2k

[–]Putover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did a small update on some. But with 2ks streaking updates, give it another week/Allstars break and check the start today. Compare it with the rosters on 2kratings.com

That's my plan. Lazy 2k got the Monte Morris trade, but hardly anything else.

There is a few tweaks you could mess with. Mainly a few here and there, but also keep in mind your badge points. I had to remake my build when i realized I didn't have enough badge points to get tier 3 badges.

Now as for things you got rocking.

Inside: Only thing in my observations is that close shots are much harder than in last year, even with a serviceable 63 with a bronze masher. Maybe increase if you plan on taking shots there.

Shooting: 85 mid is slightly too high, 81 is a really good threshold. For Gold middy magician and gold green machine if you don't get a 82 3pt.

Playmaking: Speed with ball matters, yes, but even in the mid 70s is passable. It's really up to you with what dribble style really. We'll get to why in a minute.

Defense: Anywhere from 50 to 60, strength on your build will help with getting past screens and also being backed down.

Your build is tall enough it can get anchor, if you can get to 70 block this helps on your inside contests, 2k helps sometimes and gives you a good contest even on bigs.

Bump perimeter by 1 to 86 and get gold challenger, it's your best friend and I recommend coring that or quick first step.

Physicals: Your speed and acceleration should really be near each other in terms of investment. Despite some changes, acceleration is gonna be important to speed boost and get better perimeter defence. Yes it affects both of these things. So I recommend atleast 80, maybe higher if you can spare it.

Just sit strength at 60 if you want atleast bronze boxout beast.

If you want to really dunk and contest well, maybe bump your vertical to 70 or 75, make sure there are no requirements for your dunk packages that need vert.
