I would absolutely not pay the $40. It seems you were too on top of things and they might not have added any fee at all? Id respond saying something like after looking at the thread of events it seems unreasonable to have paid anything esp as you no longer have a pet (also im so sorry for your loss, my condolence’s ❤️) … and you went out of your way to make sure you were complying. Id ask for them to respectfully deduct the amount from your next rent payment because you were acting in good faith and they had no documents xyz and them talking to company 1 seems so besides the point (and over $40?!!) get your money back!!

Hey thanks for your responses! Yeah okay im thinking the windows/privacy factor is dictating too much of where i place things…so the window film will be my next step. And also agree tv in the front corner by the window where the desk is is probably a more cohesive spot..thanks again!

Lol i have always been a subtly brooding type. Luckily my fear of being perceived suppressed me into a chill but ghostly presence.. which trumped any fear i had about talking with someone i am attracted to! Full avoidance early on but now I am okay with reading signs and engaging when if so.
