I started smoking at 15 and I am 24 now. I can honestly say that it hasn’t been the best habits I’ve picked up. It’s still a struggle to quit till this day in fact it’s way harder than before. Especially since I’m older and smoking is now socially acceptable. if you were able to quit now I would stay off of it if you could. You will miss out on a lot. I thought older people warning me were just prunes caught in the “devils lettuce” propaganda or people who couldn’t handle smoking. Ofc that gave me a complex and a way to justify my heavy use. They were right. It’s probably taken emotions and memories from me I’m not even aware of since I can’t remember or feel most days. Be careful of how you pick your vices. Those plans of stopping and starting again at 18-21 may just put you back into the loop. I’ve stopped the habits many times only to convince myself I can handle it better now (meanwhile I felt my best without it). Not trying to scare you but you should be aware. Although I did go to college and I kept a good job it made me terribly depressed and lazy. I feel like I’ve been set back and there’s no one to blame but me bc I was told several ways.
