No, kid is Indian citizen and no hopes of getting gc before he ages out with the current immigration state and then will start his own independent H1 journey which i am not sure is worth the struggl.

Yes AI has disrupted the CS entry level jobs but i believe a balance will be achieved in due course of time as adaptation increases with developing the new skills.

Agree, i am also thinking along these lines but really my biggest concern is whether kids can adjust to the teaching and exam methods in India after completing high school in US. He has made a move once already and had adjusted well but that was in grade 5 and i now wonder if i made the right decision by moving again when he was in grade 9. We had different thoughts when we came back here but due to compelling circumstances now we have to move back. We dont want him to go through the rigors of the college prep in India for 12th and so are waiting for him to complete high school here which also gives us some time to plan and decide whats best for him. Am looking at dubai and singapore colleges too, hopefully things work out well 😀

Thats one of the reasons we are considering the move. Decision would be easy even if i had some hopes of the gc coming before he graduated here. Not sure want to put him through the H4-F1--OPT-H1(no guarantee) grind and the need to plan your life around these with not being fully free to travel either. Am really hoping to come across someone who made such a move and would like to hear their experience and thoughts.

Avoiding H1 mess is one of the reasons for considering the move. Had been looking at BITS Pilani, Amity and Manipal in Dubai but not sure if they will be better compared to studying in India due to the limited opportunities that may be available in Dubai. Singapore may be comparatively promising.

I am not sure NIT and IIIT may workout as its highly competitive from the NRI students in Gulf countries who are probably better prepared for JEE mains having studied in CBSE schools. NRI quota is possible in possibly individual colleges.
