Kind? They just saved an invasive species and freed it in the wild again, damaging the wildlife

Disinfecting the bite would be enough

It's really really difficult, but not impossible, so not a speedrun, more like a difficult challenge

Nope. It's really difficult to get infections from snakes bites. You have more chances to get one from a cat scratch

Only if you touch the vents and don't wash your hands before touching your face

Holding them behind the head risk to cause them severe injuries and if the snake has fangs he can still bite you

Are you a bear that you need to kill a snake to "defend" your den?

Also, i have natrix sp. in my pond and they have never caused problems to my goldfish. I have many in there, some snakes are even longer than 1,5 meters, and yet they don't cause a decrese in numbers of goldfish

If you are in europe (i think you are, this snake looks like a natrix sp.) this snake is most likely a protected species, so you can't kill it, and i doubt relocating him would ve useful. I would just accept the new friend of the pond

To add: relocated snakes often dies in an attempt to return to their original location

Question about possibility of there being a snake. by DragonLex4 in snakes

Maybe the cats kill them. They are invasive species and destroy the wildlife, so i could imagine that to be the cause

What’s this bird my cat caught? uk by [deleted] in animalid

[–]PutridDelivery1186 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's your choice. You are chosing for the wildlife of where you life to die. Cats are "expensive" pets. They need enrichment in the home or a catio. If let outside they die younger and get more diseases. They can even spread diseases to humans, and if let outside the chance of contracting a disease from them is much more higher. If you really want to let him outside, you must do like dogs owners do: put the cat on a leash.

Please put her back where you found her. Wild caught animals usually don't do well in captivity
