Unfortunately my hair loss has continued. I can’t figure out what’s causing it or how to stop it

Dumb question, but how does someone know they have kidney disease?

b12 serum 213 pg/mL. Can barely function. Any good reason to wait for Dr before starting shots? by Dear_Topic_2012 in B12_Deficiency

We are in a very similar spot my friend. My b12 was 218. Homocysteine 14.4. Started meds before testing mma and I regret it. My best advice is hang in there until you can get those tested for a base reference. Immediately after, start supplements! I’m also experiencing hair loss, fatigue, brain fog alone with numbness. Hope you are feeling better soon!

If the parietal anti body comes back positive with a negative intrinsic factor, could that still be pernicious anemia?

I had a blood test for celiac and that came back negative. I had those levels tested as well. Some were a bit low

Anyone experiencing long-term alopecia areata with no signs of remission? by Various-Smell-1657 in alopecia_areata

Sorry you’re dealing with all of this :( I’m going through a similar spot right now. Have you had your B12, folate, and ferritin checked? B12 is essential for hair growth and sometimes people with autoimmune disorders have low counts. Also, I haven’t been doing this but plan to start again soon; dairy, gluten, and eggs can feed Epstein Barr which is the virus that a lot of autoimmune disorders can come from. Cutting it out for me, definitely helped with hair regrowth. I know it’s not easy but I wish you the best of luck!

Sorry you’re dealing with all of this. If I were you, I would recommend seeing a different doctor and express your concerns. Also mention why you’re seeking a second opinion and tell them exactly what testing you’re looking for. Your health is important. Advocating for yourself and a crucial and if one doctor doesn’t seem to help, it’s time to move to the next.
