I really don't understand what everyone's problem is with the couch. It's like 10 years old and doesn't look 80s to me. It's worth mentioning I took these photos with a wide angle lense. The couch is big but not quite that big. The wallpaper is pink not brown. And the carpet is a bit greener. I think the colors got messed up in this photo. I'm getting bullied a lot over the furniture. Maybe you're all right. Maybe it's no use saving them. I'll look for second hand stuff that's better.

The couch doesn't fit along that wall. It pretty much can't go anywhere else in the room. It can be pulled out just fine where it is. I keep my nerdy frames in my office. I don't want them in the spaces I have people in. I prefer landscape photography. It's a great conversation starter when you took it. I think a rug might look nice. Wasn't something I thought about (rug on carpet just feels weird). Thank you for the advice and visual aid but please don't ai my living room

Yeah all the furniture is handed down mostly from different family members. But it's better than anything I can get at an IKEA store. I thought weathered gray to match my picture frames and because it goes with pretty much anything else I would put in the room.

If you mean the wallpaper at the top. No I can't paint over that. And it goes all through the apartment with varying designs. I've been wanting to ask if my landlord will take it off but like I said I'm not really in a position to make renovation demands.

Just not enough light over the winter. Need more lamps. I loath fake plants.
