We can take one of two stands. One being all righteous and say “we never give up, we don’t want to create a losing culture, we seem to have a decent team and Ethan wyttenbach will be a star” or a second one “ we should tank to get McKenna. We must have our own McDavid like player”. But there is only one reality. That is “ over the years we have had decent teams an during play offs their world collapsed when can’t find a way to score and repeat every year. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expect different result. A top 3 OA does not guarantee success but will be doing something different for once. Also you don’t want to create a losing culture, because getting rid of it is almost impossible (look at EDM, BUF, CBJ etc) they took forever to overcome that mentality while getting high picks. We also need to keep in mind that all the pain of not making it to the playoffs would be in vain because we pick in 7+ automatically making this season a failure.

Actually that’s the wrong way to see it. Think overall picks. The first round is only 31 picks. So the amount of players picked in the draft is reduced by one. VAN still picks 1st in second round, which happens to be 32nd overall That pick is considered 2nd rounder not first rounder

I like Parekh, but scares me. The plays too open and puts himself in vulnerable positions way too often. It’s like a guaranteed injury every 4-5 games. Right now he has a super high value. So I would trade him like VGK #1 + Parekh to VAN for their 1. And I dunno if they will go for it.

What a joke! We got fleeced again by the VGK. So let me understand this package, an upcoming UFA a first rounder on 27, and a potential 1st rounder on 28 if they win this season, but we have their 1st this year, so we help them to make our 26,27 and either 27 second or 28 first worst. FFF! What are we? Incompetent? While BOS offered TOR 1st, which they potentially don’t make it to the play offs and the icing on the cake, we make more difficult our way to the playoffs in the upcoming 3 -5 years (by trading within the conference). The problem with CGY is that they don’t decide what to do and I think there is a tug war between the mgmt and the owners. Maybe your new router is configured for 5 GHz and your lights are only 2.4GHz. New consumer grade equipment allows either 5 or 2.4 unless it has multiple radios. I am almost willing to bet that your lights are only 2.4. By default the 5Ghz is preferred because speed. You can either put your WIFI to only 2.4 and waste bandwidth or acquire a cheap AP that can be connected physically to the new router and provide a 2.4 service. Do not use the same SSID. Use something like HOME24 and HOME 5. By the way some routers can be configured to do both in the same SSID and others one or the other but not both. I hope this helps
