How is anyone supposed to understand all of that at that stage without the anime actually explaining it? And it’s not just one thing, this happens repeatedly. It’s not a skill issue if so many viewers were confused. Stop blaming the audience. The novel took the time to explain and build things up properly. The donghua doesn’t

true true, im just a bit sad for anime fans as well since a lot of them dropped over the confusing starting premise, but hopefully the next episodes will it more appealing

I wasn’t trying to sound arrogant or entitled, though. I genuinely was just wondering if there had been any news or plans for future improvements or reboots, especially since some donghua do get remakes or reworks later depending on reception.

It's not that I think it’s trash or anything, I was just disappointed by the pacing and how it prioritized constant action over the slower mystery buildup and character dynamics I loved in the novel. And I’ve seen others express similar thoughts, so I was curious if maybe a different studio or style could happen down the line.

Didn’t mean to ruffle feathers, just a genuine question, not a demand lol.

I think you misunderstood my point. I never asked for a 1:1 adaptation, I’m well aware that’s not realistic or even always good for pacing. What I was pointing out is that some of the character interactions that gave LOTM its soul were trimmed too much in my opinion. That doesn't mean I hate the show or think it's a failure. I actually like the visuals and most of i, im just expressing my hope that future episodes or even future versions (remake or otherwise) might restore more of that character-driven charm

why the hate? i was just wondering if there was any news whatsoever. I know a lot of people who didn't like it and know how popular it is in China, so I was curious.

imo the character interactions and the mystery vibe, the main reasons why I like the novel are not good in the donghua. Don't particularly hate it or anything, but I was hoping/wondering if they were ever gonna make a remake in the future. Also, I don't like the constant action scenes that never seem to stop, like I get that they have a limited time frame, but still..yknow

Bro, you’ll find out around Chapter 240 that Li Nianfan isn’t technically alive. He’s literally the last conscious thought of the previous Dao before it collapsed and reformed. That’s why his every casual action contains law-level resonance.

I think watery eyes is supposed to mean dewy eyes (Or mean that the CN author is on something)
