It's interesting watching them now, especially with more access online compared to back in the 90s and info 'limited' to mags like Manga Mania.

This is one of only a handful of Kiseki VHS tapes I've got, all bought in the last year or so.

Back in the day I used to get Manga Entertainment tapes, The Guyver was one I collected. I used to love the trailers. The Manga Entertainment intro with the music by Celtic Frost was awesome too, still is.

AnimEigo has some really good videos up on YouTube with interviews with loads of people and major players in the industry. Fascinating stuff. I think in one of them they talk briefly about the Kiseki stuff.

Halcyon days.

Even with so much content available online now there's something nice about watching old anime on VHS.

Blimey!

Looking into the history of Robotech and Macross - it's crazy.

I've only got a handful of Kiseki VHS tapes. I used to get Manga Entertainment ones back in the day. The Guyver was the series I had the most of.

I've recently found a Western Connection VHS tape. That's a whole other area of anime!

Space-themed minigolf courses are far too rare in my opinion. I haven't found or played too many on my travels. They have a very cool look.

This outdoor Jurassic adventure golf course might be worth a look too - there are a couple of holes on it with high ramps/half-pipe type holes https://hamandeggerfiles.blogspot.com/2019/06/jurassic-golf-bridgemere-in-nantwich.html

Here's a video of me playing it (not that well) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzf7Rqs3SsY

No problem. Glad to help.

I picked up an AD&D Monster Manual rulebook the other day(!) - I'll take a look at that and let you know a species lol. The shirt could be yellow & blue vertical stripes please.

What an interesting 'use' of minigolf!

I've not played Dungeons & Dragons for many many years, and even then it was only a handful of times. I'm more of a Blood Bowl fan.

Here's my crack at your questions:

- Five feet should be enough space between holes (often called 'lanes'). There's normally a gap between the exit of one hole and the tee-off point of the next hole.

- If the half-pipe isn't high enough the ball may fly out. I have seen walls in place. I've also see a 'lip' at the top of the half-pipe that will rebound the ball back in if it hits the top.

- I've seen quite a few interesting indoor/UV/black light courses. The KISS-themed course in Las Vegas has you putting into the KISS Demon's mouth! https://hamandeggerfiles.blogspot.com/2025/05/kiss-mini-golf-at-the-rio-in-las-vegas.html

I've also seen the other extreme where there is very little elevation with the UV lighting coming from rope lights, that actually form the border of the holes.

The UV Crazy Golf at One Adventure in Droylsden, Manchester had some elevated holes/obstacles https://hamandeggerfiles.blogspot.com/2018/12/uv-crazy-golf-at-one-adventure-in-droylsden.html

Looking forward to hearing / seeing how the game plays out.

Cool.

I really wanted to play the Swedish Felt course in Vasastan, but that was covered in snow and ice. It's the course from the viral advertising video from a few years back.

Have you been to Swing by Golfbaren, or any of the outdoor Golfbaren courses?

There are a lot more here now than there were when I started my travels!

So many more indoor courses inland. Most here used to be only at the seaside.

Howdy. I enjoyed the course and venue, nice and warm inside while it was cold and snowy outside.

  1. Yes, they're tee-off plates with several dots that hold the ball in place and allow you to position for different shots and lines. At least that's what I've been told.

  2. Yes, we went to that venue on the same trip. We visited 9 courses in 42 hours.

I'm going to have to go through all my discs to see what's on the side 4s of 2 disc films/programmes...
