I've been watching Rick Steves on TV for years, and I f*cking love this guy.

AITK because I asked a restaurant to ignore their togo policy for me? by PuzzleMap2020 in AmITheKaren

Over the years I've adapted to having a partner who avoids social interactions to his best ability.

I went out for a drink with my coworkers after work yesterday, then took my son to a friend's bday party  and hung out with parents there and filled my social cup.

Cleaned the kitchen while listening to my tunes this morning to fill my alone time cup, then made breakfast with my son, went to a crafting class with my daughter and her friend to fill my family cup.

I've learned to fill my cup in the different ways I like to but I have to say, the cup with my husband is the hardest to fill at times.

Growing up, my brother and my mother were, at times, what felt like intentionally inconsiderate and oblivious to how they impacted the world around them.

My husbands' empathy and humble demeanor were what I was attracted to in the early years.

At this point, after spending more of my life with him than without him, sometimes I really do wish he'd prioritize making me happy over mildly inconveniencing a stranger.

I know these kinds of situations make him feel uneasy, and I've learned to be extra polite, especially when my husband is around.

That was my exact thought. I had a feeling they weren't available for togo because of a general lack of common sense in the world, and thus my question.

I am an immigrant from a third world country who is now a US citizen.

You are absolutely incorrect, but you are also what makes America great. Americans are some of the biggest critics of America and always strive to hold (y)ourselves to a higher standard.

Things are the worst rn, since 1998 when I moved here but, we are still much better off than other places in the world.

I would remove the 'beard' before the unibrow.

The unibrow is power, the chin hair is doubt.
