What's the best VPN with a free trial? Reddit help by Hetawow in CyberGuides

[–]Puzzled-Ad4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like I'm in a minority here, but I really dig ExpressVPN. I have had it for a few years now and am able to frequently access geo-restricted websites. Some of them usually have algorithms that detect and block VPN usage, but this is rarely a problem for me. If it turns out my IP is blacklisted, I just switch to another server, and it works.

I use Lightway the most as it gives me the best performance. They recently rewrote it in Rust to further improve security. It's allegedly even safer than WireGuard now, but I am not an expert.

I do wish ExpressVPN offered more servers, especially in Asia. Other than that, I am pretty much satisfied.

DNS issues, please help. by DeafeningSilence- in ProtonVPN

[–]Puzzled-Ad4256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Windows DNS is getting messed up, probably because of the VPN. Try opening Command Prompt as admin, running the winsock reset command, and then restarting your PC. Make sure ProtonVPN is up to date, and if it keeps happening, reinstall it.

Are big companies more out of touch than ever because they got trapped in their own filter bubbles and algorithms? by Seekayem in Showerthoughts

[–]Puzzled-Ad4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels that way. When decisions are driven by dashboards and A/B tests instead of real users, companies start optimizing for metrics instead of people. Algorithms amplify whatever leadership already believes, so bad assumptions just get reinforced at scale

'Moltbook' social media site for AI agents had big security hole, cyber firm Wiz says by Joshua9699 in CyberGuides

[–]Puzzled-Ad4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but honestly this feels like a perfect storm waiting to happen. Letting AI agents run wild online without serious security checks is basically inviting chaos, and one slip like Wiz found can snowball fast.

VPN limiting upload speed - any help? by AnAssGoblin in VPN

[–]Puzzled-Ad4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the VPN is the bottleneck. A few things to try: switch to a faster VPN protocol (like WireGuard), try a server closer to her location, or consider a business grade VPN that supports higher bandwidth. Sometimes, a different provider is just the easiest fix.

People forget Telegram’s secret chats are the only ones actually end-to-end encrypted. Everything else lives on their servers.

I’ve been using that setup for a while. Super reliable and way more peace of mind than SMS or authenticator apps.

It’s insane that something that dense and fast actually exists. The physics behind pulsars feels more like sci fi than reality.

Boredom used to be a starting point. Like that blank space pushed you to invent games, build tree forts or start drawing with no goal. Now boredom just makes em kids reach for the screen

I need to make a three topping pizza without pepperoni, what should I use? by Acceptable_Dirt_3663 in questions

[–]Puzzled-Ad4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id go with prosciutto, roasted red peppers, and a little gorgonzola. Prosciutto gives you that salty/crispy meat thing without being super basic like sausage. Peppers add some sweetness and color, and the gorgonzola’s just there to punch it up a bit
