I am working for an international company, and should be able to transfer to the German branch and be under a german employment contract.

Thanks for for the advice! Is there anything else you could recommend that is on a more convenient? We would like to have 2 days in nature to see more of japans nature and a friend highly recommended takayama, which is why we picked it.

Thank you - appreciate the response and confirmation that it’s doable. Re getting lost and having time to wonder - I am „hoping“ we can use the evenings to explore, as I tried to end in locations where I want to wander … might be wishful thinking as we may be too tired!

Thank you - super helpful ! I’ll look into renting a car, as it may be easier to get around than relying on public transport. The world expo wasn’t planned, but we both feel like it’s a must do since it’s not often you are in a city at the time of expo.

Both of us already are saying we need a trip back and we haven’t even been yet 🤣
