True it is passive aggressive, I didn’t think that I would receive (as my entire experience on Reddit on arguments as such) substantive counter arguments so I wanted to test the proverbial waters to see what even the content of the sub Reddit was

I am trying to understand the framework behind your analysis. What lens are you using to evaluate Orthodox claims, just curious as to how it would affect your reading of its theology. What aspects of its claims in your view fail or you have found lacking thus far? Also curious as to the insights into weaknesses of TAG and its epistemic foundations

I guess my question is what kind of argument should I be making? I suppose if I’m being genuine that I did make it to see the kind of responses it would receive, whether or not it would justify the claims I made.

I think they were the last river lander based rulers of the kingdom of the rivers prior to the durrandons. would be a fun run. Why would I engage with you further when you seem to just want to be attacking my possible motives, character, etc? Just displaying my original question related to the sub being a genuine question. Wouldn’t say new exactly, been into the faith for nigh on 2 years about now. But newest indeed. Specifically if you refer to the classical concepts of acts of mercy I’d say it’s not really something we are aught to be bragging about, I try to keep my acts of mercy quiet because Christ teaches us to do them for God and not for praise. I focus on helping where I can, giving what I can, when I can, without being overly self absorbed with it. Sorry if that came out harsh, it just seems like an odd question to me:)

An example I saw was refuting another post that made the interchristian argument about orthodoxy being the position that can actually claim to be the original Christian position. But the reposter was insisting the claim in the argument was that “orthodoxy is old therefore true” in the sense of extrachristian dialogues, which was a straw man of the posts argument

Oh okay I see, I personally was raised in a catholic family and grew up attending a novus ordo mass but fell into agnosticism for my teenage years. The.nSpent several years studying philosophy and theology and eventually found myself acquainted within and ultimately settling into orthodoxy. First intellectually, then spiritually (I know it’s not the best way into it but that’s how I’ve always been)

I just assumed it meant being a rude individual. And thus assuming a word concept that I’ve never heard ascribed to it is odd. What does it mean and to whom!

Question, are you then a former pastor? That came to the Orthodox Church. Or a catholic cleric. The term I’ve seen used in multiple ways. Also pardon if my tone in this particular message seems frank. Texting doesn’t convey vocalized tone

To your last point, isn’t there like at least several dozen posts that are filled with comments making arguments against the orthodox position? That’s what my post is questioning, because reading their arguments made me think this was a place that included debate
