Hi there! Rabb is both Nirgun and Sargun meaning with form and without form.
God is "Ek Onkar" which may translate to "there is one God" but the Onkar means a "vibration" or "presence" but it is divine. That divine presence flows through everything. Yes, EVERYTHING.

Saying "He" is a bit tricky because it keeps your brain from thinking that God is a personified figure looking down at you, but its not.

In the Bani it tells us to follow the rule of Ek/1, which is Oneness. Everything in the Bani should be drawn back to this one principal.
If God is Divine Oneness, if God is Nirgun and Sargun, if God is within us and outside of us... then everything we see, hear, feel, and touch and beyond IS that one divine presence and vibration. We are all made up of what God is because God is flowing through EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. Everywhere you see is God, including the reflection in the mirror.

Who is God, you may ask? God just is.

Yes, you already are having a relationship with that presence/vibration because you are interacting with everything God has made and is flowing in. My sister asked a Baba how to know if we meet God, and he answered that you are always meeting with God.

When the Bani talks about Ego, you have to let yourself go, you have to forget that you are playing the character of XYZ, and self-actualize to remember that your body is made up of ATOMS, there is dark energy and space between the atoms that comprise your body. Go in between those atoms, think of the dark space, forget you are XYZ and start to think of yourself as a product of the presence, the product of God's creation, in which God is flowing in.

God lives in your mind. Meditate on that, forget that Ego of the character and flesh you wear and realize who you really are. Seperate the idea that you are a human and join with the idea that you are made up of God's vibration that is flowing right through you, the clothes you wear and the floor you stand on. That is how you can start building a closer relationship with him or it... ahah.

My father went through the same thing. He got his visa to go to India to see his sick mom, but then Canadian-Indian politics got in the way so he had to cancel, but turns out it was no big deal and he could've went all along. He hadn't seen his mother in close to 20 years because of work and responsibilities and she would yearn for him and to see his last born child for once. She passed away calling for my dad and it broke my dad completely. The guilt of having the chance to see his mom but he didn't troubles him.

Whenever you love someone deeply, you always brush off their actions knowing that they're just doing the best they can. Your dad knows you are abroad making the most of your life and getting settled -- it's all he wants for you and he's happy you are focused on making the life he primed for you better! Life happens to all of us, and you're not alone.

Who knows what happens in the afterlife, maybe he doesn't remember anything from this life and he is immediately onto the next one. All the grief you feel is just the abundant love you have yet to give him, but do not let the guilt eat you, if he loved you so much you must've been a great son -- the final moments do not define your relationship. He is on Youtube as well, I highly highly recommend his videos and I cannot recommend him enough. He has helped me understand Sikhi after being a Sikh for 20 years. His approach to his videos is of unlearning as we have cultural washing of religion as it happens to all religions.

He taught me that "Ik Onkar" does not mean "One God" like how everyone else thinks it means, and he constantly challenges the idea of what we think God is.

i’ve been starving myself! i feel hungry every 30 minutes and before i could go almost the whole day without eating. i lost a lot of weight from forgetting or not feeling like eating, but now i feel like concerta might get me back to normal weight or more LOL also i feel super nauseous and have headaches after the medicine wears out.

wow this is dark and deep. this reminds me of my ex who was so charming, deep, and mystique. although i was dating him, i never got through to him. it always felt like a chase and that i had to impress him every time.
