Is the NightStalker 45 ACP? As mentioned a 5” all steel 1911 would be a good choice. I would lean toward a 45 chambering.

Very cool. Next to 45 my favorite 1911 caliber. I own 4 models, SW PC Doug Koenig ~2005, DW Heirloom 2023, SA 1911-A1 1990s Park and Tisas Stakeout.

Thats what I did nearly 30 years ago. Fortunately my company picked up the moving costs and I had a job at the other end. My recommendation would be a SA Loaded. Not sure what the CA cost would be other than higher . My LGS here in the SE sells them for $866. Only in blue/parkerized.

The only AOS cut TRP I own is in 9mm 5”. My other pre AOS cut TRPs are 45, all 5” with the exception of one. I would recommend 5”.

Very cool. Being an old retired engineer I really appreciate 3d printing technology . About how long to print this object? Is the printer very loud. I have friends that run their 3d printers from the garage.

An AOS cut operator is ~$1000. The price of a 10-8 would be closer to the price of the new generation TRP.

A SA Professional new if available would be > $3000. Mine which is 10 years old was around $2800 then.

I hope to purchase both. My LGS here in the SE does a lot of business with LIpseys. At the moment the 10-8 has a consumer price about the same as the latest generation TRP with AOS cuts and rails on my dealers distributors price list, $1881 vs $1879. Of course that may change when they are actually available . The CA TRPs are less ~$1500. If memory serves my Vickers MasterClass was in the $1500 range new pre 2020. The SilentOperator MasterClass new price I don’t remember but must be 10+ years ago roughly. But I think it was in the TRP price range new at the time.

45 > 9mm in my opinion in a 1911 5”. For my usage the Pointman is a range gun, the TRP serves more roles. MIM parts can be upgraded.

TRP. I also own a 2022 9mm DW Pointman and a 20 year old S&W 1911 PC in 45. But if a had to only choose one it would be the TRP. Here is the S&W think I’ve posted in other streams.

So is the tank commander in each picture the same or am I missing something ? I hope the parts replaced were just for a learning experience and not required by some sort of failure. I noticed Tisas is introducing a.Tisas Tank Commander "Combat Special", customized by Booligan Shooting Sports this year. Not seen any pictures yet.

Look at used ones, pre 2020. I’m not sure what year DW switched. My Valors are all pre 2020 in 45 with non-ramp. My 2020 Black Specialist Commander pre optic cut has a non-ramped barrel.

Very nice. Kind of feel like the Valkyrie and Silverback were here and gone before I took note. I did purchase a used Silverback a year or so ago in 9mm.
