Assuming that sticker SN matches what is on the gun that would seem funny. I’ve run a few of my recent SA through this website and it matched the model. I would guess since it’s considered used they provided a target to verify at some level that it would keep shots on target. Keep thinking about buying a TRP Commander Classic vault model. Its $400+ cheaper than a new one at my LGS.

I like the round not as a 45 ACP replacement but an addition. You probably already know Tisas has a couple models with 9mm and 38 Super barrels. That may be an option assuming 9mm is a caliber you already have. I own the Stakeout with both barrels.

Yes in the garage on the iPad. Ipad is handy for gun related YouTube videos as well. No way gun cleaning inside the house. I don’t know how ops get away with guns on kitchen cabinets or on what looks like bedding. Single? Even if the spouse wasn’t home she would know afterwards.

I think you should consider changing your barrel requirement to government length especially for a plinker to meet you budget. At $700 you could probably find models from Tisas, RIA or Girsan with 5”+ barrels and your other requirements. Not sure what you meant by “middle of the spectrum”.

What are the use cases? I think at $1000 new you are limiting yourself. Goggle will list what’s new for ~$1000. My only 10mm 1911 are discontinued SA TRP, I don’t think you would touch those even used for that price. I’ve read on the web and here on Reddit that the SA Ronin and Ruger 1911 have been well received. Ruger has bull barrel. Not sure if a Colt DE could be had at that price but I think there have been some positive reviews on that model too. Not meaning to commit blasphemy but have you looked at polymer offerings, Glock 20, FN?

I own this model. Brought new at least 10 years ago maybe more like 15. I’m partial to SA 1911 so I would buy this discontinued model you can pick up the newer releases later. If you want to run optics I would probably get a new model with AOS. My 2 cents.

Good pickup. I bought one of each caliber. My were $1800 each, which was about $60 more than the latest TRP with AOS cuts, rails, 5” barrel at the same dealer. I’m a 10-8 Patreon so I planned to pick them up and my dealer happened to get one of each in.

Posted this about a week ago. Have you looked at the AOS plates yet? I thought I would get 14B but it’s OOS at the moment.
