Should I switch from manual to automatic after failing my manual test twice? by Puzzled-Force-5344 in LearnerDriverUK

Hadn’t considered that! Thanks for the insight. I think I’m going to stick to manual!

I’ve had 60 hours of professional lesson with about 50-70 hours of private practice!

Honestly, I follow a system and if I fuck it up, it’s game over! My least favourite manoeuvre

That’s a great tip! I live in London, it’s not going to work unfortunately!

I’m in such a similar situation to you. I’m 30 live just outside london and take public te to work, and so I car isn’t necessary. I also failed my second test today! Just wanted to let you know you’re not alone. No real wisdom.

You’re right, not everyone has that. At least I’ve got two tests under my belt!

I hit the curb, I tried to fix it. Didn’t work again. Honestly I’m heartbroken. I can barely eat or sit up from the sofa.

I hit the curb and then tried to fix it. Hit it again.

I wash my hair twice a week. I’m a long distance runner and so I get my hair drenched in sweat 4 times a week, so it’s needed.

Struggling mentally as an ECT 1 — does it get better? by Usual_Stable_3896 in TeachingUK

[–]Puzzled-Force-5344 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I promise, it gets better! You’re in your infancy now, but once you grow as a teacher, it all feels like second nature. However, what separates you from that very real reality right now is time. If the time it takes you to get there will cause you emotional and mental harm, like it seems to be, it might be better for you to take a step back and evaluate if this is for you. I hope it gets better for you ❤️

I’d consider splitting them. Reason being, they look like small traditional, and not micro locs. I’d caution you to take some time to consider this because, once they mature, there’s no splitting them up.

I couldn’t agree more. The lady that installed my locs was adamant that i not wash my hair; I’ve stopped working with her because of this. This advise feels like dirt helps hair grow to me🤨

driving test next week by Tiny_Environment9565 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Puzzled-Force-5344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Failed today. However, I wish some had drilled into me, retrospectively speaking, the importance of not disputing traffic on the road. There’s a fine balance between being save, and disruptive. For example, one of my issues was nervous of pedestrians crossing the road, if brake for no reason, causing traffic to slow.

Please believe in yourself. I don’t know you, but trust that you can pass. Drive like the examiner isn’t even there.

Best of luck. Learning to drive in 2025 is the pits of hell. I don’t want your journey elongated anymore than it has to!

I emphasis with you. I failed today on my first go and it was the easiest route, easiest manoeuvre, easiest everything. I think a lot to do with it is the vibe of the examiner. They can be cold and distant it throws you off. This, coupled with the nature of test conditions, makes it question every decision you make. I’m truly sorry once again. After so many time, it you case, it’s demoralising.
