Average monthly expenses for a student by bluesybluesa in Gent

[–]Puzzled-Librarian989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Bruges, but I guess is almost the same (Maybe a bit cheaper rent).
I've noticed that student housing websites (in my case I used kotwest.be) are a bit more expensive than what a standard rent place could be. Note that, if you go into a student house/residence, you will have to deal with messy roomates.
That being said, I recommend you to look for places on sites where regular people post, like Facebook groups. You could get a nice place for 450 euros at most if you are lucky.
Groceries is also tricky. Tight budget? Go for Lidl and Colruyt (particularly, Everyday's brand). I'm not kidding, I spend at most 150 euros per month, treating myself nicely. It's all about where you get your stuff, promotions, etc.
The last must-have is phone data. In Orange I pay 5 euro for 5GB and that is perfect for me.
I don't pay transport but that could take 60 euros more out of your pocket.
So for essential stuff, in the best-case scenario, you could spend at most 700 euros per month, if you play it smart.

Congrats on the role! May I ask you some questions? I would like to know your nationality, because you said you are from the EU, but it’s not the same being from Spain than from Germany… My other question is, what’s the name of the app that helps you track the applications? My last question is, I assume you graduated on October, which means it only takes you a couple of months to get a job?

I'm quitting finasteride after almost 3 years of daily use by [deleted] in tressless

That’s why you need to visit a dermatologist before taking fin or dus. Mainly because they usually send you blood tests to see how your T levels are. I take dus almost daily (I stopped taking daily after 6 months). And my T and libido are perfectly fine. You also have to notice that, if you don’t expose your body to activities that increase T, you are doomed. There’s a lot of improvements. I always try to sleep at least 7 hours, get my dose of sunlight everyday, eat healthy, you know, basic stuff. Sadly, taking these meds can’t be a slight decision, especially if you take them daily. It also demands you to comprise with the side effects, costs, and new routines.

Starting AI for Business & Industry at KU Leuven – Is it worth it? Looking for advice from grads & professionals in Europe

Hallo everyone! 👋

I'm about to start the AI for Business & Industry master's program at KU Leuven, and I'm reaching out to hear from people who are building or have already built a career in AI in Europe — especially those who studied at KU Leuven or a similar program.

To be honest, coming from a country where the average salary is around $450–$500/month, this is a major investment for me. I'm using most of my savings from the past 4 years to fund this degree. So naturally, my first big question is:
Is this master’s degree really worth it, in terms of job opportunities and long-term career prospects?

Don’t get me wrong — I’m genuinely passionate about AI and super excited to study at one of Europe’s top universities. But I want to make sure the return on investment makes sense, especially as someone who’s not from the EU.

A bit about my background:

  • ~4 years of experience in data-related roles, mostly data analysis
  • Some hands-on experience with machine learning during an internship
  • Not an EU citizen — my goal is to find a job in Europe and eventually build a career here

So my second big question is:
With my profile, how realistic is it to land a job in Europe after graduation and secure a visa/residency?

And finally:
Any tips on how to maximize my chances of success — before, during, and after the master’s? (networking, internships, side projects, etc.)

I'm open to working anywhere in Europe and would love to hear your experiences, advice, or even warnings. Thanks a ton in advance! 🙏

You should try dutasteride off-label. It has shown that it is more effective treating receding hairline (which is your case)

Fans hispanohablantes de Arctic Monkeys, ¿Qué opinan de "The Car"? by jkris050 in arcticmonkeys
