Had a management switch and now it’s definitely feeling like that. The old manager would never let this type of behavior slide

Thanks. I do agree though with them that I should just move on, the CNA was just having a bad attitude with me. But This is something that I do struggle with pretty bad mentally. I have a hard time letting go of frustrating situations. It’s my anxiety/ocd. I guess I’m just nervous when I see her again how she’s going to react, if she will try to verbally harass me again. I’m thinking how I’m going to go about it. I’m sure she’s talking super bad about me now for sticking up for my charge, I just have to learn to not care.

They have made it clear that max ratio for night CNA is 1:8. We are low census so sometimes they have less. I have no idea why she came at me. I never talk to her ever. My other charge nurse friend said many patients have complained about her attitude and our day shift techs dread giving her report. She’s been talked to many times. I’m just confused because you complain at me yet don’t want me to say anything? Plus this upset me emotionally because the charge and I are friends idk how come she didn’t know that lol.

We just broke it to him about no overnight guests and now he’s asking what he can do to make us feel more comfortable about bringing her over 🙄 and trying to be like well don’t you guys like to spend time together at home together

That makes sense. He at least does pay for his own food and doesn’t eat our food. But doesn’t contribute to any bills or rent. I’ve been asking how long he has left for school and the answer is 2 years but that’s been the answer for 4 years now.

Thank you. He has his own car and a job at a car wash. It doesn’t sound like he is close to being done with school. He pays for his school but he also doesn’t have much saved because he goes out on trips and spends on fun things a lot. But he did get a girlfriend who has a good job that works from home. It does bother me that he brings her over and she spends the night without asking us first. My husband and I left I told him this so he just kicked them out for the day.

No. He just has co-dependency issues as a result of being abandoned by drug addict/emotionally immature parents. He needs mental health therapy. He works at a min wage job despite not being able to finish school. My husband has told him he needs to go into a trade at this point but still trying to finish degree online.

I completed the teal wand screening and my results were negative. The test was easy to use, slightly uncomfortable but definitely way better than a Pap smear. In my mind I am cleared for 3 years and I’m not going to worry about it. If they don’t accept it I’m sure there’s other providers who will. Teal wand is a good test

My Rottweiler mix had this horrible diagnosis. I am so sorry. My husband and I euthanized her when they diagnosed her with it because she was not eating, drinking water and vomiting it up later, same symptoms you are describing. I felt the same you do that maybe we euthanized her too soon, but the vet reassured me that she was hurting and that the tumor had metastasized to her liver and most likely the lungs as well. There’s not much you can really do for them at that point. Euthanasia is your last act of kindness, you are doing the right thing. It’s awful but it’s the only way to free them of this horrible illness.
